Off to Keswick at the weekend with the Mrs for a long weekend, she has booked everything, but I know we are staying in teh centre of Keswick.
After some ideas for nice easy-ish walks around that ara. Looking athe OS map seems there are a few options, but woudl be good to get people's opinions.
Pictures are also welcome 😀
catbells is probably the most accessible from keswick. Skiddaw is another though it's a bit of a slog.
Cat Bells? Get the ferry across (if it's running) and indeed back, if you're that way inclined.
Pictures you say?

Worth looking at big version.
Blencathra via Sharp Edge 😉
Yep - launches are running and I don't imagine any stops are underwater right now.Get the ferry across (if it's running)
Springs road, up Walla Crag, down Cat Gill, and back along the lakeshore - an easy walk from town with a nice view at the top.
Will that Catbells shot is a great pano!
Grum - Can't get your photo to work...
Catbells looks a great spot, for (according to teh internet) not much effort. the Boat Trip sounds cool also! Plan on Getting a lot of photos of sunrise/sunset so Catbells looks like an ideal starter for 10!
Thanks guys
Catbells is a lovely easy walk, we did it on a rest day on a biking week. You get high enough to have an ace view, but it's a leisurely stroll rather than a slog (like Skiddaw for example!). We got the launch there then walked back on and off road, with a rest stop at a pub 😉
Not sure what I did there, but they were pics with my old compact....

It's actually not too bad in normal conditions - the walk in is quite short, but you do need a bit of a head for heights I suppose. Probably my favourite walk/scramble in the Lakes though, and starts just down the road from Keswick.
Spooney Green Lane to top of Latrigg, follow over to road then back along the river path. very easy but has a bit of everything-bit of a climb, good views, nice river section.
Catbells, good walk but a bit of rock handling to get to the top of the second hump.
Walla Crag can be a bit boggy this time of year.
Glenderaterra Beck, you can go round or over Latrigg, head for Brundholme & Derwentfolds, follow beck along, cross at Sinen Gill & head uphill to Lonscale fell then back via Lonscale Crags.
Quite a longish walk though.
