Who's in Keswick this weekend?

Other half is doing the triathlon on Saturday so I'm heading out on the bike into the hills.

Have got seats booked for a couple of talks too.

Looking forward to it!

Think I’m heading through with the family on Saturday. It’s always a great weekend. Weather has been good over the last couple of weeks, so the field should be nice and dry. I won’t be doing any events though, still recovering from a crash at the Fred Whitton 🙁

Sorry to hear about the crash @earlofbarnet.

@NZCol - you've got a similar plan to me - I'm heading out on Sat AM to do the Borrowdale Bash route. Will be on a Stooge and wearing a bright green lid. Say hi if you spot me!

Also planned a couple of talks too - Alisdair Humphreys and Leon McCarron on the Sat evening.

I'm having a look through on Friday afternoon after picking my daughter up from school and meeting Mrs BigLee there after she finishes work 👍

Well crikey blimey she was a warm one. Lovely ride on Sat round Borrowdale Bash then back of Skiddaw then back up to the Tarn to see the 2k come through. Slightly marred later on by a bout of food poisoning and an early departure to the land of the white throne. Fine today but sheesh a few KG lighter that's for sure.

We walked past Mark Beaumont pushing his bike up to the theatre, I was so tempted to say"nice bike mate, so do you do a bit of cycling?" 😁

Whole place was buzzing with runners, riders, paddlers, swimmers, etc. I was up on the NW fells pacing in a Leg 5 BGR. Great to have all the randoms coming up congratulating our man at the end - people who know what's what - including our very own Mr Sparkle. He got a boost from the all the Ennerdale racers too part way, again people who've been there. Bit of dip in the lake to cool off afterwards. The Lakes at their best.

On the way home from a cracking weekend in Keswick  Festival was ace. Great atmosphere and friendly.

Did the Borrowdale Bash loop on Saturday and then skiddaw loop on Sunday with the other half. Amazing weather!
