Keswick Caravan and Camping Club site is within easy riding distance of Whinlatter and many mountainous bridleways, a few minutes' walk from Keswick town centre with its myriad pubs, cafes and restaurants including the fabulous Dog and Gun (does exactly what it says on the name minus the guns) has a superb location literally on the shoreline of Derwen****er, is full of like=minded people (ie mtb'ers, runners, climbers and the 'odd'! walker).
Bog my opinion, look it up.

Dinah Hogus in Borrowdale. Just down the road for a couple of pubs.
Campsite in Braithwaite, 2 mins from Royal Oak, bottom of Whinlatter Pass and a short ride into Keswick.
The one in Braithwaite gets my vote, too. Royal Oak pretty good
