I don’t think Disney have released a trailer for this so I expect this is the fan-made job that’s been going round.

I have just read that Hayden Christensen is reprising his role in the new series which is even worse news than it starring Ewan McGregor. I want to be able to enjoy it but I fear I will not unless they both up their acting skills in this series.

Looks like a mash up job to me, some scenes are from Rogue One, especially the ones of Saw Gerrera's feet and his hideout. I'm not convinced.

Both being in the series is great news, Revenge of the Sith is the best movie from any of the trilogies...

I have grown to dislike fan made promos, I guess its done to get views or something, usually the channel name gives it away!

I agree

It's very underated but not as good as new hop and empire imo, I would put Roth above it too but it is the best of prequels or sequals

Apart from the crap special FX that have aged very badly. The terrible acting. The worst scene from any Star Wars thing ever (Darth Vader - Nooooo scene) it’s the best of the prequels. That’s damming with faint praise though.

I’d put Star Wars, Empire and ROTJ before it. I love ROTJ because the Ewoks upset the Star Wars nerds. The Yub Nub song is ace and watching bear people beat men to death with rocks beats watching pouty faced Anakin

I reckon Rogue One is by far the best film

Is it a film or  a series like Mandolorian?

It is a Disney series (initially six episodes I believe).

I sense a mash-up – bear people beating pouty-faced Anakin to death with rocks.

The terrible acting.

Agreed - all of them, awful! The thing is, they can all act so WTF the director was doing I don't know – clearly couldn't be bothered to put a shift in so accepted whatever shit they came out with and canned it.

I hate the way that Chewbacca is typecast, he's a much more complex character than his portrayal on the big screen

I can’t decide whether the prequels or sequels are worse. The former actually have a coherent plot, the latter have better acting and look nicer. They also have no plot at all and Kevin the space teenager as a villain.

Having a story has to be a basic requirement, flawed as the prequels are they tell a story I want to to hear.

Shiny go BOOM! instead of a plot works in a surprising number of films. The worst thing about Star Wars are the blatantly racist stereotypes disguised as characters. That’s a whole other thread though.

Its a fake unfortunately, mash up of Rogue One and a video game cut scene with sprinkling of a film Ewen McGregor did where he was Jesus in the desert

I think the prequels have a decent story, done badly. Lucus was too rich, too important to allow his creativity to be driven by adversity, and it went a bit to far with all the political ramblings. I think they hoped Jar Jar would appeal to the kids and sell the toys and adults would enjoy another warning that Dictators don't seize power, they convince us they're the only ones who can save us from an threat they invented.

I think the sequels were a squandered opportunity. I know it's become a cliché, but I think it's true. Rian Johnson ruined them. The first one was great, enough nostalgia for sad middle aged gits like me to go giddy at the sight of the 'Falcon' screaming around at low level whilst introducing a whole new set of main characters so new viewers didn't have to cheer for the characters their parents like. Johnson though, ****ed it for everyone with the second one the prick. I can't believe they signed it off, it ruins the first one, tries to ruin the core films, ruins the story arc of the trilogy. It's a bad Star Wars film because it's doesn't fit well within that 'Universe' and a bad film in general, the writing and direction are poor and it squanders characters for no good reason. The last one is really pretty good, but it's hamstrung because it has to pick up from the white dog shit which is the second one.

Anyway Rogue One is the best one, and no one remembers Solo because, well, it's a bit poo.

Good overall assessment there P-Jay. I’ve still not seen the final film. Tried a few times and just fall asleep! From what I’ve seen it’s just a bunch of barely related set pieces with some badly plotted nonsense in between. I actually enjoyed Solo. Just a harmless bit of fun and had some good characters.

Agree that the middle film of the new bunch is a mess. I know it’s only a film, but what they did with Luke just seemed odd. Like a completely different character. Kylo just became even more annoying and the whole casino planet thing didn’t go anywhere

I asked my team mates who were 7-12 when the first prequel came out, and they all love Jar Jar. I imagine if Lucas went back in time and swapped C3P0 and Jar Jar we'd all be hating on the shiny droid.

I've never liked the whiny git, I was six when Stars Wars came out. His best bit was when he went all Sith in the last one (and when he got pulled apart in Bespin).

For the record I also don't like Jar Jar, Ewoks, the last 3 films and Porgs. Actually Porgs are ok roasted.

Also this

From what I’ve seen it’s just a bunch of barely related set pieces with some badly plotted nonsense in between. I actually enjoyed Solo.

I enjoyed Solo. I hope a series spun out from that goes ahead.

I also liked the Porgs... a good mix of fun and darkness in the bonkers Last Jedi. Unlike the forgettable and dry follow up. Yawn....

For me Last Jedi (that's the second one right?) is the best of the sequels as a stand alone movie, it just ****ed up Luke. Force Awakens is rehashed rubbish and the third one makes no sense at all.

Solo is a good, fun movie and Rogue 1 is excellent.

Star Wars Rebels is brilliant and a overall The Clone Wars series is great.
