Sorry can’t help with the Talus but I’m issued with a Keela Munro jacket & Genesis fleece. They’re awful, and as a result I personally steer well clear.

The Genesis fleece is a decent shape but the sizing is odd; I’m generally a Large to XL kinda fella (depending on time of year 🥺), but had to opt for a medium fleece. It’s feels like a carrier bag layer sandwiched between a cheap crappy Primark fleece.

The Munro jacket is just a shapeless piece of shit. The whole collar, hood area has too much material and rises way too high; it’s got too much for real mountain weather as it’s so shapeless yet has such rigid fabric that i can’t get it to sit on me properly.

I also think they swapped any type of breathable fabric in mine for a double layer of bin liner. It’s stiff, rustly & too hot horror of a thing that creates its own weather system within the lining. If I’d spent my own money on it be gutted.

Sorry just not impressed with their kit and spend my own money on Paramo or Rab.

I got a Keela Saxon after a review on here about 4 or 5 years ago, it was utter rubbish, was never waterproof.

Their trousers are excellent, Roadrunner for biking, and Nevis for hiking, but I tried a couple of jackets and they were a bit boxy tbh, and bloody heavy.

also rate the roadrunners for riding, and their waterproof ones are great for soggy dog walks. I also bought a Saxon jacket on the back of Sanny's recommendation on here and it has been great.

I have a Keela Saxon jacket. I like it. Price was good, performance is good, packs up small, hood is great, nice colour with reflective bits.
I look forward to seeing if Keela stuff fits me when I try it on in shops.

Buy it and if you're not happy return it.

It's just a Primaloft jacket, there's loads of choice out there !

Very insightful @ElShalimo thanks. I've a 48 inch chest so struggling get a jacket that fits without bursting seams, hence my query. Most these type jackets made for skinnier types so looking for real world opinions. They do an XXL that might fit, sorry to have taken your time up.

Keela are most definitely not made for the Italian Roadie!

I have a Keela casual / pub / dog walking jacket - green coloured Lakeland type name that I can't remember. It's a good jacket apart from the removable hood is too small and when up the whole jacket 'hangs' from my head rather than sitting on my shoulders.
I emailed them and it was the correct size so I'd deffo try their stuff on before buying.

Cool, will have a look at Marmot, thanks @ElShalimo - it's a right pain trying find jackets fit without looking like a marquee.

I've got an Avant (?) featherless vest and it's very warm.

Impressive warmth for synthetic insulation (the loose fibres mimic down unlike sheet or quilt style synthetics)

Hiya,

I have a Keela Stratus jacket and my other half has a Keela Cairn jacket. She's had hers for over a year myself for six months. I actually think they're really good. Mine hasn't leaked in all the crappy weather we have here in Portishead. It's done plenty of hill walking and I think they are good value for money to be honest. The Stratus is quite baggy but that works for me because in the winter it allows for thicker under clothing.
The Keela jacket looks good value for money with primaloft gold insulation to be honest.
Looking at the alternatives for similar money look at the North Face Quest Jacket.
I have one of these absolutely superb and super warm and also waterproof. It's my defacto dog walkies jacket for wet and miserable Bristol channel weather in the winter months.

BR
Jerry

I have a Keela Passport rain jacket.
Seriously impressive bit of kit for £100 (remainder section of website).
Their Rainlife trousers do the job well for £40.

The Saxon is a decent bike jacket. Keeps out the rain. The jacket breaths and feels wet but does not let the rain through.

The Ochils softshell fleece is gash though. Very square cut and feels cold - even in mild weather.

I have the saxon, fits OK inc the hood apart from the arms which are massive and flappy!

Seems if you are the random shape they chose for a particular item of clothing happens to fit you then its good.

Cheers all, think when I get home from Ireland will order the Keela see if fits.
If not will try an Alpkit on as is a shop local to me.
Nothing in my size of Marmot for what Im looking for.
That North face looks a good reserve option, though have an older North face waterproof/ down type thing already that is very similar, looking for something middle of the road will fit under shell or use in own.

I’ve got a talus, it’s lush.

ive got several items of keela kit. Most are generous however the talus is a much closer fit than my other gear, perfect for wearing a daysack with. If on the borderline go size up for this jacket.
