I appreciate it's owned by the evil sports direct empire but is it useable? I'm looking for some long sleeve t shirt/baselayers to run this winter.
In the past I get on with Nike, not so much with Adidas and the Lidl shirts I bought are very poor.tempted to try Decathlon but the sizing seems nonexistent.
Cheers
Yeah their clothing is fine, I have a few t shirts and some shorts. The cheapest stuff isn't as comfortable but there's nothing wrong with it.
I have one long sleeve running top from there I really like, this one.
I got some Capri thermal base layers from Sports Direct a few years ago and they are still going strong, were 2 for £7!
For sports tops these days I go into TK Max, they have some unbranded stuff usually which suits me for running, riding or fitness classes.
I'd give their base layer a punt if they were cheap enough. I'd avoid their shoes like the plague though. I bout a pair of approach shoes online before I knew off the take over. The inner soles were made of cardboard with virtually no cushioning. Very uncomfortable pair of shoes which died within a weekend walking.
I have quite a few items of clothing and it is all good enough for me, sizing is a bit odd though. There can be half a size difference between a blue and black t-shirt in the same range/style.

Yes, this. Though generally I find Decathlon better for not a lot (if any) more money. Even the Decathlon shoes are good, the Kiprun SD is an awesome short and fast run shoe.

This. heavy, no flexibility, poor fit, made my feet hurt ;-(
My wife uses some of the clothing, seems to have lasted well and she thinks its great.
I have found the clothes quite good, even the muddy fox clothes aint bad but the shoes are utter carp
contrarily the Hot Rock approach shoe is my favourite for fit, grip and comfort. On my 3rd pair. I do replace the insole with Spesh BG footbeds though.
...grumbles about the Accrington factory shop and Hot Rock and Jaguar S65 rucksacks...
Gloves fine but I bought some of their running socks and they shrank really badly after a wash. I'm size 8, these are size 7-11 and I can't get them on my feet now. Going straight back for a refund.
if you want cheap have a look at moremile stuff. i have a long sleeve 1/4 zip that i was given at a race a few years ago and its a really nice bit of kit. good quality material and well thought out design.
My old Karrimor kit lasted ages. Guess the latest stuff is Chinese sweatshop badged.
I have a few bit so karrimor kit , running shorts, tights, long sleeve top and all have been fine. As suggested decathlon is good but there is no explanation to sizing so you really need to try before you buy.
For tops I normally go to TM MaXx . I also have some more mile stuff and it’s been good though my socks have shrunk .
I find the sizes come up big, but it's all perfectly useable cheap kit
Imo the Decathlon Kalenji stuff is better, for same prices.

To be fair, Karrimor shoes were also shit as far back as 1997. In fact the trail running shoes I bought in the last few years were far better footwear.
