yes. a guy that designs and makes his own bike for about £100 and beats everyone on it is not good for big bike business.
it wasnt all about obree though, many other pros had their records removed from the history books when the uci 'rationalised' their rules.
all imho, of course.

film's good, but you really need to read the book. more on the fights with "powers" and much more on the demons he carries with him.

I actually saw the actual Flying Scotsman today, doing about 120mph just North of York.

The book is really quite dark in places. The whole driving force behind his racing, the reasons he pursued it and took it so far ... it was fascinating and disturbing at the same time.

It makes you think about what drives the rest of us.
