Just how much damage can one rabbit cause?

Okay, so normally there is never just one rabbit, but in this case there definitely is...

Thumper first showed up in the garden over the summer, a teeny wee thing which I fully expected would have been dispatched by the local fox or bloody great big Maine Coon that patrols our garden. But no, Thumper is very much still alive.  Thumper is now pretty big, and clearly lonely. So, to distract him/herself from boredom, Thumper has chosen to hang out with our hens. There are now bloody great big holes in the plastic chicken fence courtesy of this rabbit. We also have a wooden gate that Thumper has dug under and by the looks of it, dug through also. The deer that come into our garden and do party laps around the lawn and flower beds cause less destruction.

Thumpers days are numbered....

Are you sure Thumper isn't a fox as those are very foxy type actions.

My Humblebragometer just exploded. 😁

Why not adopt the rabbit? Build a hutch or a run somewhere in your estate's grounds.

I’d much rather have a rabbit in my garden than someones cat patrolling around killing birds

Yes, but presently he's got both.

I'm also quite surprised the Maine Coon hasn't had it already. Maybe the rabbit is...

Thumper has been caught red handed (so to speak) destroying both.

What I need is the Wallace and Gromit Bun-vac 6000...

The general giveaway if it's a fox is the lack of chickens.

You'll probably end up with some of these soon 😁

I rabbit we fostered when the owner was faced with eviction if they kept the beast, ate the stair carpet and some of an arm chair.

This was a critter that didn't chew but was nicknamed The Rabid.

Wow.

I got that image from here: https://www.macroevolution.net/chicken-rabbit-hybrids.html

And started reading... are they actually saying that the origin of the Silkie chicken was really a rabbit x chicken hybrid? And the other hybrids on that site! Not sure if the site is serious or documenting historical spoofs... needs more study... down the chickenhole we go...

Rabbits are never lonely. It's obvious that Thumper isn't a rabbit.

Has he got a big bushy tail and a cunning look about him?

Mrs F had a rabbit that her dad let her have in the house occasionally. With fantastic comedy timing he commented on how well behaved and quiet the rabbit was. Then the power went off. Somehow, Simba, the fuzzy demon, had managed to chew through a cable without exploding himself.
