She says it's 'for a laugh'. I called BS. If you want a laugh, go to a comedy show, if you want to see c#ck, go to a strip show.

She was then went on to tell me that women don't get off on seeing naked men (well that's pretty obvious looking at me). I Said that the women probably ain't getting much action at home and go for some 'release'. Her indoors shot this down flat.

So....... what is your opinions, why do women go to these things? I need some solid arguments here, maybe even some women's points of view, as my wife appears to be deranged. 😕

's about the size of it, I believe.

Blokes go to strip shows for a bit of a perv, women go to point and laugh.

There was a bit on TV about this years ago where two sets of audiences were watching shows and filmed.
The women were jumping around laughing and giggling, having a right good time. The blokes were taking a bit more seriously.

Because it simply is not funny, is it? I don't find naked women dancing funny, not even the rolly pollies!

Like I said, if you want a laugh, go to a comedy show, where's the joke in seeing oily beefcakes wearing fireman's outfits and covering women in shaving foam? If they do find it funny, then I despair for all these women.

Yes, but, at the risk of being presumptuous, you're a bloke.

I hate to break this to you, but women are a bit different to men. Those distracting bumps aside, their brains (and hormones) work in different ways to ours. That said...

where's the joke in seeing oily beefcakes wearing fireman's outfits and covering women in shaving foam?

... that sounds absolutely ludicrous to me, and about as erotic as a hole in the head.

So, they go to see C0ck? Are big todgers funny, or something more sinister? I just can not believe that they go 'for a giggle' seems rather childish. If she'd just fess up that women find it a) a turn on b) exciting to see massive willies etc I'd be happy, but she won't admit it.

My argument was that the human race would probably not have survived if women just found penis's amusing, rather than actually seeing another use for them. I think that the 'finding it funny' excuse is pathetic, in more ways than one, they just want to see big d1cks, (I want to write 'end of' then, but won't).

If you're using 'survival of the species' as an argument, that only holds up if big willies are more potent.

May I suggest you are over thinking this a little.
If a man goes he's a disgusting exploitative pervert up to no good.
If a woman goes it's just a bit of harmless fun

I suppose all those millions of women spent countless millions of pounds reading '50 shades of grey' for a 'good laugh' too. What a crok. If women didn't find what they saw a turn on, then fat ugly guys like me would clean up when out on the town, but they don't do they! Women should own up to what they are - humans (maybe)

No real beef, I wouldn't care who went, or why, I'd just like an honest response that women may go because they like it, visually, sexually - but not the reasoning that it's 'funny' is just doesn't wash.

So an honest reply is the one you want to hear.

and I bet she still said no you can't go to the Strip Club after the works party even if you buy her tickets to the Chippendales

Well, no. I'm not the one getting bent out of shape about it.

Look at it another way; say they are going to get off on it. Who cares? Really, does it matter? If my OH went to watch some filth and came back randy as a badger, ultimately I'm only going to benefit from that.

Basically she said they went "for a laugh",not because it was a comedy experience.I go out on the lash with my friends "for a laugh",not because that's a comedy experience either, but because it amuses me,if you don't understand the difference, you're lucky she talks to you.

No,because it's an excuse to get together with your mates in a non-threatening situation and drink too much.I used to work in an area where women outnumbered men 3:1,and they often did this sort of thing. Why do you feel so threatened?

Not threatened at all. I just would like some honesty. I wouldn't mind it if my wife said that she had spent the day watching hard core pornography, as long as she didn't tell me that she watched it 'for a giggle'. I feel threatened only by the lack of honesty from the female camp. It must be tough not either accepting to yourself that you enjoy it, especially when you've paid so much for the tickets 🙄

in the old days when there were 'strippers' on in pubs at lunch time, it always struck me as very strange,it weren't 'sexual' , more like 'wrong'----then the women would walk round with a pint pot collecting money, they didn't look very happy-- the blokes too were often edgy-- strange ...

I always found that strange too. I've bee to a few strip clubs in my time. A good friend thought it would be hilarious to pay for a lap dance for me when we went to the club to pick up his sister in law who was working behind the bar. I found the experience unpleasant. I don't know why, she was very attractive, but I didn't enjoy it at all. I think that my friend knew this would be the case, as he thought it hilarious. I certainly wouldn't go back, or go there with mates. Unlike the women that go back time and time again to these shows! They must get more out of it that I did!

Echo posts above - why can't women be curious about men and their bodies - if it means safety in numbers then let them - sex is not the same as love - its easy for a women to perve over a mans body, and then come home to the one they love - as can a man at a strip club - albeit it seems women's enthusiasm seems "bawdy" rather than "intense" and they can enjoy it as a group rather than as a single person. - OP is over-thinking it all - just accept society doesn't accept women as entirely even or equal in 2012, and celibrate that sexuality and what turns us on, even mildly, isn't the same. There's hormones, and learned behaviour behind it - but ultimately if your threatened by the chippendales, you have bigger issues than believing your partner is leaving you for an oily fireman.

As said earlier not threatened, as my wife would not feel threatened by a leggy stripper as a stag do in Prague. I am just curious as to why some women feel the need to repress their own feelings of sexuality to the extent of self delusion.

Someone mentioned 50 shades of grey up there. That is a LOOONG way from Chippendales.

Strippers are a bit ridiculous - naughty, outrageous, like a hardcore carry-on film or 50s seaside postcard.

50SOG on the other hand plays to many women's secret fantasies, and they can read it in the dark on their own.

Much the same way as if you showed a daft porno at a beery house party it'd get laughed at, but if you watch one on your own in your bedroom it wouldn't be funny.

I went round a friends (an on/off girl friend at Uni) and she was sat there, on a bed, seriously engaged in watching some hardcore, with her flatmate (also a girl). Now this girl was pretty open minded. She just sat there with it on, watching. She seemed to be taking it quite seriously, grading the performances etc and commenting on which things they liked and didn't. Quite the eye opener.

Not sure what category of Molgrips theory that behavior falls into? She was quite a handful in the sack thou. 😀

It's:

Titil
Ation

Without the pressure to either perform or be performed upon.

That's what these shows are all about.

They go to look at good looking, well built lads and indulge a few fantasys, simple as that.

The reason it's a 'laugh' is because women can actually communicate in a group and let their guard down unlike men who tend to either get embarrassed and repressed or all Alpha around naked women in a group situation.

Called out to a nightclub last night (false alarm) There were pretty ladies aplenty whooping, whistling some even groped at our bits 😆 . had a good laugh with them pecks on the cheeks sitting in fire engine photos etc. I'm off tonight bet if I meet those same ladies tonight they winna give me a second look. 🙁

Just a bit of fun get over it.

As a bit of balance, the only time I have seen a stripper it was hilarious. A mate's GF organised one for his 21st she was dog rough, the stripper not the GF. She spent nearly an hour embarrassing my mate on the dance floor of a local bar with about 80 people watching. Amongst other intentionally funny things she tried to do a sexy lap dance but it was so funny that there was no way I could see it as sexy.

there definitely seems to be a tone of feeling a wee bit threatened to the OPs posts..
if you're discussing subjects with your wife that you believe could/should be leading to nookie, but you're preferring to argue and fall out over it, then I guess it's self-evident.. she's probably arguing the innocent point so vehemently to try to help you feel less insecure..

mrs yunki went to a burlesque show last night with some mates.. they were all dressed to impress.. If you're right then perhaps there's a pandora's box waiting to be opened.. should I be concerned..?

You also seem to find it much easier to lump all women into the same category, either turned on by strippers or liars..
I dunno, but last time I checked, all women were different to a large extent, governed by their life experience..
some were repressed and found sexual subjects embarrassing, uncomfortable and giggly, some found them disgusting, others turned into wriggling randy badgers..

funny old world mate I reckon..

I'd like to add my 2 cents.....

As a gay male, I can confirm that those sort of 'strippers' are by no means a 'turn on', so I don't think your OH is trying to hide anything, or is failing to admit anything. It is just another form of entertainment for girls (and gays) to just generally point, laugh, and giggle at. You say that if they wanted a laugh they should go to a comedy show - have you considered the fact that they simply don't want to go to a comedy show?

Life is too short for 'discussions' like this with OH's - just let her get on with it 🙂 🙂

Omg. New lows in stw.

Op, she just wants some gratuitous entertainment which has both a sexual and "no go area" edge. Men are naturally promiscuous, women are naturally seeking the perfect "man" figure as a mate. It's only out intellectually generated social boundaries and rules which suppress that.

She's just indulging in a fantasy entertainment activity whereby in her mind she can indulge in a muscular, apparently well hung, non burping, non farting, non moaning alpha male.

Not everyone wants to admit their fantasy to there partner, and perhaps she feels just as uncomfortable doing so as some people would find pooing with the family bathroom door open.

Thing is women are actually allowed to go to these type of shows, to see semi naked men dancing and being a bit raunchy, something they dont see in ASDA, and men obviously get a bit embarrased ar he thought of their wife,g/f watching semi naked men in small thongs.

Its just a bit of fun, and from experience quite a few of the chaps are gay, and do it to earn good money, for hard work, and they enjoy it it seems.

A chap i used to work with was a male stripper, and he told us one day he had a prosthetic penis, which he did a helicopter with, it flew out of his baby oil covered hand and hit a woman in the face, causing her glasses to fall off,She just screamed the place down and ran out when she realised what had happened, along with a scrum for the prosthesis.

Female perspective, from an actual woman here. I've been to one male strip show and a 'normal' lap dance club. The male stripper was not erotic in the least. It was funny and silly, all a bit Benny hill. Absolutely a chance to point, laugh and squeal a bit and get drunk with mates. The lap dance club was much more 'sexy'.

I've gone to spearmint rhino's as clients have requested that specifically. To be totally honest it's pretty boring after a while and a total rip off. I mean a 20% surcharge for card payment.

My better half understood as she knew the client but equally if the client was gay and wanted to go a male strip joint I'd have happily gone and enjoyed the event. It's all part of life.

I've never regretted anything I've done and only carry regret in things i haven't .

Yes, they're good fun.

The ones i went to in Prague were very glossy, professionally run establishments that varied with the hard sell re. individual dances....in the end we found a great one on the outskirts of town where beer was normal prices, the girls werent pushing the hard sell and the music was great....it was like a pub with naked girls walking around, brilliant.

I've been to some in this country, a mate used to own one in Milton Keynes....it was crap, girls obviously only interested in money, expensive drinks etc....

For those in Aldershot (Hampshire) there is Tiffany's.

....the name is legendary round these part.

Its one of the few remaining old school strip pubs, beer at normal prices and the girl walks round the bar with a pint glass (for which the accepted tip is a £1 coin) before taking her turn on stage, there are usually anywhere from 3-5 girls working any one night and the atmosphere is good....this is a laugh, it doesnt take itself too seriously.

I havent been to somewhere like Stringfellow's but i imagine its cringeworthy.

You clearly haven't seen the same candid (CFNM) video's I have accidently seen.
Of which we once discovered one of our drinking buddies girlfriends performing said act on a well endowed 'dancer' - true story.

After tasting the substance her reaction leads us to believe it was not shaving foam.
Drinking buddies reaction was priceless.

There are hundreds of these video's. Probably.

many moons ago i worked on the bar at a leisure centre for their christmas do's. These ranged from tribute bands to chippendales style evenings. On such evenings most of the women appeared to just eb having a good laugh, being a little raucus, and kind of what if conversations with their mates when at the bar. However after the show had finished and we were tidying up the hall and centre, there would always be a few women who decided that they had to have one of the men, under the stairs, out the back of the centre etc. So i guess for a few they went for more than a laugh.

Ahem......as a young bloke, a friend and I got roped into doing a bit of a show. It was for the wives club (I was in the mob at the time).
They were animals. Absolute ****ing animals. Started as a laugh and I ended up petrified.
Yes, there were plenty of suggestions of meeting afterwards. Yes, there was baby oil and whipped cream. No, I didn't get fellated, but I did "earn" a couple of crates of beer.
I was in my early 20's and the wives were all in their 40's. The difference between men and women isn't as large as they would have us believe. I've seen them off the lead and it isn't pretty.

I think the OP's wife is being honest!

Chippendales etc = you can see it all be flapped about = funny
50 Shades of Grey etc = it's all your imagination = sexy

It really is very simple chaps..... 😉
