Postie just knocked on with a parcel wrapped in Christmas paper, from one of Mrs Gob's relatives.
What is wrong with these people?
It's only about 6 weeks until Christmas, we're in the middle of a pandemic. I'd say the relative is looking to be stress free in the run up to Christmas to be fair.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Edit: 44 days to go

What will become of Tiny Tim?
They're thinking of the children.
There was an Aldi Christmas advert on telly yesterday. I actually told Santa to **** off.
I picked up our last Christmas present for the kids on Saturday. A new bike for my 11 year old.
Going christmas shopping this year is not going to be a thing, except for idiots.
I'm not a fan of Christmas starting way too early and taking over everything but even I'd say mid November is probably OK, especially in the current climate. Only issue might be that I heard Christmas will be cancelled this year so it was a waste of time and money.
I think my wife may have already discovered her favorite Christmas advert for the year while watching the bake off last night, good luck to John Lewis (and everyone else who hates Christmas Adverts).
I think the Idea is for you put it away until Christmas.

You must be kidding.

Yeah, imagine sending gifts to miserable sods! What a waste 😉

Fair point, well made.
Having spent a lot of time working in or around retail I get my Christmas shopping done by the End of October at the latest. This year I was done by September! The presents for my sister and her family are already wrapped and stored in one of her cupboards as I can't guarantee I can get to her before the 'big day'.
Does that make me 'one of those people'?

No. Not until you send them out in the 1st half of November.

Why not wait until mid-December?
I love Christmas but hate how it starts around Halloween. I much prefer to keep back as long as possible.
I lose an argument every year with the Mrs about when the tree goes up, much prefer to leave until the 23rd or 24th. She used to put it up in the 1st or 2nd week of December, now I can get her to hold out until about the 20th. Better but still spoils it for me.
Somebody I work with put her Christmas tree up two weeks ago.
You must be kidding.
Nice.

I'm more interested in why the farmer feels so guilty about what the goat has been through this year.
I definitely need more back story before I can commit to this narrative.
Better but still spoils it for me.
I bet it doesn’t.

Just don't open it til Christmas!
good luck to John Lewis (and everyone else who hates Christmas Adverts).
