Finally succumbed and got a Paperwhite

Recommendations for books for free or significantly cheaper than paper version?

Lots of classics are free on Kindle, I have lots of Dostoevsky etc which I stand no chance of actually reading 😀

Cheers, Rich

Most of the classics can be had free from places like Project Gutenberg, use Calibre to send them to your Kindle. (You'll want to install Calibre anyway, it's handy for all sorts of file conversions and organisation...)

One type of book I'd avoid: text books with lots of diagrams or maps that you need to flip back and forward to reference. IME they don't work very well on a Kindle.
