On Monday I’ll be playing with my RC rock crawler on the sea-side rocks at Broadhaven, then seeing DP3, then back for some more night-time rock crawling, then pub.
I love being a 55 year old child.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but is it violent?

No, not violent at all. I don't think there's a single drop of blood spilled.*

*The above might be complete bollocks.

Only comedy violence...

You'll certainly find yourself laughing at the violence.

Also find yourself laughing right for the start. It's hilariously self aware

My summary for a relative who plans to see it but has not yet seen the other Deadpool movies: ‘Vulgar, violent, ridiculous, and very enjoyable’.

I'm looking forward to trying to spot the 4 Wrexham AFC Easter Eggs. Up the town!

Just back from watching it, easily the best movie i've seen in ages, absolutely no let down whatsoever and it hits every time it tries something, it's the best of the trilogy as well for me, was bigger, hit better and the cameos are a completely different level to the previous ones, as someone who has been disappointed in almost every franchise going over the last few years, this was great to see, just don't know how you top it!

One of them is pretty obvious

@argee it's the movie everyone has asked for but didn't realise they were getting.

It's worth a trip to the cinema, then rewatch it on Disney plus

Just back from seeing it too, really good... How do you make a movie that captures the different tone and style and legacy of two such different characters? You just don't. Take turns, why not.

<mild spoilers...>

Honestly I reckon the thing that separates a really good modern genre film or show and a lacklustre one is just the confidence- partly the confidence to do their own thing, partly the confidence that the audience can and will follow you, and this has that in buckets. Like, lots of stuff is hamfistedly meta and so is this but reassembling the actors for unpopular or discarded or just never happened characters from an in- and out-of-universe dumping ground and giving them "the ending we never got", in a movie that's constantly openly meta, that's just pretty sublime. Kinda wasted Dafne Keen though, there was room for a lot more of her in there, and I'd have binned every second of Nicepool.

There'll be tons to catch on a second or third viewing too. Like, the big mad max pastiche is obvious but the little nod to George Miller with the sped up explosion is subtle

...ah but what a missed opportunity, just think what they could have done with Iron Man/Doom character confusion.

(and I've become really quite annoyed that having done the green lantern thing before they didn't at least make some connection to Reynolds playing Hannibal King in Blade Trinity)

There's only so much you can fit in, they did really well to stitch it all together with so much going on and some of the homages were absolutely great to watch, can't say i was disappointed with anything they did, could more have been shoved in, of course, but watching it flew by and everyone in the audience were laughing and talking (quietly) amongst themselves with all the cameos, homages, etc, was fun and i think for the first time ever, everyone stayed for the end credits scene, i couldn't get out the row because of this!

Went to see it last night with my eldest and her boyfriend.

It was absolutely tremendous, everything Deadpool should be and more, was good to see Wolverine back as the bad tempered character he should be. The humour as usual was spot on, great fun looking forward to a rewatch to see what I missed.

Oh yes, looking forward to getting to see this, definitely at the cinema. Seems to sparked some kind of resurgence of cinema going too - the number of screenings Vue have is mad - and some of them are sold out.

I liked Deadpools reaction when Snipes says there’s only ever going to be one Blade 🙂

I thought it was just because I saw an early screening on opening day that it was just movie nerds because everyone stayed to the very end. Interesting to hear that is happening all over the place.

Have to say, it's mental how many clips are floating around youtube, facebook, etc of this film in top quality, i've not seen this type of quality knock off since the old days where a camera would be set up in an empty cinema to copy a film!

Saw it last night with my partner (who has not seen Deadpool or Deadpool 2!). Great laugh. Plot is ridiculous and I found it kind of annoying, but the action and funny stuff make up for it. Excellent, much needed, brain-off entertainment for a few hours.

Errrrr. I don’t know if I enjoyed it or thought it was utter bobbins. This might be a good thing or a bad thing. I am very confused.
