Anyone know whether there is any legs in this? Not of the result per se, but the lies/misinformation from the official campaign that has led to the result. Outcome would of course be as per a successfully jr'd planning application, a reset/ rerun.

None at all. for several reasons, but the main one is that the referendum result is not legally binding on anything. Can't challenge something legally if it has no legal consequences.

But you can if it leads to an outcome that could have been reasonably expected /anticipated. Law is not black and white. Anyone minted fancy a go?

Jambalaya, isn't it great that there is real passion for this subject! Title was quite clear and the subject distinct. You seem unable to resist opening these threads, do they offend you?

The referendum was played out as if it was a general election. You expect lies and misinformation in an election but a referendum should be held to a higher standard. To extend Tony Blair's analogy, if you're buying a new house, you expect the survey or prospectus to deal only in verifiable truths.

To extend Tony Blair's analogy

When you're at that stage, the desperation has set in. Blair's higher standard of information didn't apply to his preparations for warfare...
