Been asked to ask on behalf of a friend of a friend!!  Said person has a job interview with a charity for a marketing position.  The interview involves a "session at an assessment centre."

Does anyone have any idea/advice as to what this might involve with regards to a "head of marketing/communications" position in the charity sector?

It's all speech to me as I've not had an interview for 20 years!

Standby, my OH sis works in charity sector, in finance. I'll ask her now.

First part from my OH, she used to work for a large Housing Association, which is a charity.

"My experience at an assessment centre was a lot of different activities testing different things - presenting, meeting people, psychometric tests, team based stuff...depends on focus of comms at charity but I imagine there will be something on digital media. They will probably be given a task to present something and asked about dealing with bad press...."

Got one coming from her sister who works for Macmillan and her former colleague who was head of comms at the housing association with her.

Edit; her sister has said the same thing.
