He's been here since Sat lunchtime and it seems to be going as expected. Doing well overnight with me sleeping next to him in the living room and will continue this way as he gets used to the crate. We managed 10pm - 6am his first night and 10pm - 4:30am last night. Alarm is being set tonight for a 3am toilet outing, it's light at 4:30am and that CLEARLY means it's time for the day to begin!

He met the bike today with me scooting round on it and had his first jab, three weeks until he can be out and about now!

I'm trying to remember - and my forum searching doesn't work - but he's a wire-haired Vizsla, isn't he?

Gorgeous.. takes me back to almost a year ago when Lundy came home..

@euain Aye that's right indeed he is! He's going to have quite a tight coat we think but there are definitely some wisps there so it should show up a little.

Ada came home at a similar time of year and we all got more sleep if she had a 3am wakeup as she'd easily go back to sleep, if she slept through until 4:30/5am she'd decide to be up and awake just long enough for me to be properly awake (20 mins or so) then start on the first nap of the day

Those paws will take some "growing into". Very lovely puppy.

Lovely dog, he's obviously a Very Good Boy. Make sure he respects that Alston sofa though..

I inherited it over 4 years ago when I bought a flat and we intend on replacing it after Christmas as it's too large and not special so we're prepared to ignore any puppy bites.

You need to send him back.
His skin is clearly two sizes two big for his frame.

we’re prepared to ignore any puppy bites.

which will then make it OK to chew the replacement as well. Don't make that mistake!

Herbie was also "hand stripped" today, it really is quite a difference.

Also, im glad the sofa has been accessed 👍

Aw! Superb looking lad!

Glad to hear that he is settling in and you are getting a routine started. It’s the best thing to do.

Careful of your socks. He looks like a sock monster.
