Plan B: is long John's!

I'm outside a lot, and could do with some lined jeans that don't break the bank. Can anyone recommend any?

I'm also a short arse, so 30W 30L required.

Cheers.

I’ve got a couple of pairs of Prana flannel lined jeans - one denim, the other canvas. Excellent general winter wear.

Craghoppers do fleece lined trousers too if the rambler look works for you.

I probably have some original pattern Hebtroco’s in that size left if you want some moleskin.
Can move on at hefty discount.

@brant if you have more than one pair in that size, I might be interested too...

Montane do a winter trouser that's lined with microfleece.
They are great, with zip vents too, however they are not ultimately as warm as having long John's on.

I’ve got some nice lined carhart pants that I picked up for less than £30 on sale in their work ware store. Not jeans but probably just as tough.

Years ago a mate used to wear his Mum's old tights under his jeans under his overalls in a very cold garage.

He reckoned they were really good and cost him nowt

Won't anyone think of the moles?

They're not from moles. You don't want to know where the skin is from!

Think Bombay Duck but more Wicker Man-esque

Uniqlo men heattech slim fit jeans are nice, warm and stretchy, and £35. Size up a bit big round the waist.

There. Style advice...

Any outdoor brand winter walking trousers would be a good starting point.....

Rab / Montane / Mountain Equipment etc

What about a pair of ‘roys’? You could get them in jeans style, next have some in that looked thick and warm.

Not a hebtroco fanboi at all, (the socks are rubbish imo, and I've had to restitch a few buttons on a few pairs of trews)
But their governer moleskins are great in winter, I have a pair for blacksmithing in and they take one hell of a beating, so worn they are smooth now. But them and my 177s are great in the cold weather. Not just warm but great at stopping the wind.

Howies, i have a pair, worn them twice as i preferred to wear a pair of lycra longs underneath.so they have been in the back of the wardrobe for 5 years.
they basically have pair of cotton pyjama bottoms sewn inside.

@brant thanks for the gesture, but I won't do that, it's my problem not yours, just not a fan as in my work boots I feel the weave.
Eagerly awaiting the denim though
