Anyone know if i'd need jabs if I was going to SA for a holiday?

The jabs and anti-malarial you may or may not need will depend on where you are travelling to (which region) and if you are going via anywhere else.

If you need malaria tabs. Malarone is worth the money.

I've never needed anything for Johannesburg but some other areas have malaria. I'd check with your Dr if I were you.

If you take Malarone, take it when you get up, not before you go to bed...

Unless you like warped dreams and disturbed sleep that is.

You won't need anti-malarials for the Western Cape and I think its probably only Hep A for the jabs, though you should check with your GP if you haven't had any innoculations/boosters in a while, you may already be covered. Have fun, its a beautiful part of the world...

Where you're going, no.
Been there (stayed in Somerset West to be exact) 5 times since 2000 and never had a jab, nor have my wife and daughters.
