I know it might be a bit trite, but I'm going with my other half..
Her father died when she was 6 months old; her stepfather ended up having to have a restraining order as he became obsessed with her to the point she had to have a police escort to school, the situation causing her to leave with virtually no qualifications; one of her half brothers died at 10 from cancer, the other was born with Hirschsprung's and took his own life five years after his younger brother died; she suffered several years at the hands of an abusive ex.
And yet has come through all of this and, through sheer hard graft, has just been made Head Of Technical Communications for a global automotive engineering firm. I could literally not be prouder of her. Tbh, also proud of her mum for still going on with life after all of the above as well. They are both an inspiration to me.

I'm going to nominate Mrs gd as you've seen the kind of things I post - imagine being hardcore enough to stick up with that and all the other nonsense.
In my youth Tracey Edwards and her crew I remember as inspiring. Leading the first all female crew to do the Whitbread round the world race in 1989/90.
My former boss was awarded an OBE for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and was an incredibly talented woman and an absolute force of nature to boot. Honestly though I'm surrounded by fabulous, talented women in daily life from colleagues and fellow professionals to those I share hobbies and free time with. I have been fortunate to grow up in a family where the women have always been equals of the men and it is still a source of amazement and disappointment to me that we should need IWD to promote equality but sadly I have no doubt that we do but I'm delighted to celebrate these people's success.

My grandmother. My grandad worked on ocean liners sailing all over the world as a young man. When he came home he never wanted to travel. They eventually moved to the lakes and lived in Littletown. My grandma had friends from all over the world who would write and return to visit year after year. She made these friends simply by talking to people about her garden when they stopped to admire it. We would visit regularly and I can still remember family jokes about opening the garden up as though it were Hightop and offering cream teas (she was a fabulous cook).
