On Ebay you lose roughly 13.5% in fees,so why suggest that an item is worth anything near 85% of it's RRP on here?

Dry your eyes. Don't see the issue myself. There could be a potential buyer on here who will pay above the odds and without the hassle of eBay. I've sold frames on here that I thought wouldn't fetch as much on eBay.
Its a way of saying
"Do you want it if so buy it. otherwise I'll stick it on ebay and see what happens"
Rather than saying not saying it. The implication being then being that it might be back tomorrow at a lower price
Exactly that. I've sold things on here for probably less than I'd get on ebay, but for a quieter life and a solid price it's worth it. Stuff I can't sell here and pinkbike, I throw on ebay for the massive audience and the random factor. Price/fees doesn't really come into it that much
Still, near to RRP generally doesn't make much sense
