I'm going to spend less time procrastinating and just get stuff done.

I've checked my emails, deleted some, now I'm going to make some coffee and prioritize what to do with the others.

This is the decision I think I need to make.

I'll have another think after the MOTD repeat....

Excellent! Have you decided how you are going to work through the tasks? Agile? Waterfall?

What about some sort of ticketing or planning system for the backlog?

Not waterfall...it tends to cause massive delays...however a cascade could work well - combination of both focusing on the goods bits - DONE! - and not bringing the bad boys over...

Waterfalls are pretty. Never thought about it, but how do they happen? I'm gonna go check it out in Wikipedia.

Sounds like the wrong decision. You should make a brew, sit down and have a good long think about it

When you’ve looked at waterfalls think about this. One day a tiny walking worm decided it’s best chance of success was to invent the sleeping bag and become a flying machine.
Caterpillars are weird.

How are we defining procrastination here? Is there a definitive list of what does and what does not constitute... and is it more acceptable to crastinate if not a pro?

Just make sure you clear off all the non essential activities before doing anything important. You don't want to be worrying about whether you should have watched "Unlikely things to hear from a sports commentator" in your Facebook feed while trying to fill in a tax return or fix that leak in the roof.

I've got loads of procrastinating to do, but I never seem to get around to it.

Write a Tah Dah list.

It is the same as a To Do list but you get to shout Tah Dah! every time you tick something off

Well, I’m giving some thought to training for the World Procrastination Finals, but I’m not sure if that’s professional or amateur - I’ll have to think about it for a while.

I'm gonna see what Randall Munroe recommends about that.
