It wouldn't be so bad but it's got so baggy that I find it comes off way too easily espcially in the wet when it's prone to shooting off almost without warning.

Any sugestions? 😮

Hit your finger with a hammer and it will instantly go back to your old fat size without you having to get those old trousers out again.

Actually not far from what I will have done. They will cut a little piece out of my ring and then laser it back together again.

The girl in the shop said they have a guy who does it for them regularly, infact, he came and resized her ring only last week.

I'm surprised she can still sit down. 😯

I can imagine why a girl would want it done

So you've lost weight AND become gay?

That's a lot to take on.

It didn't work out between you and that nice chap 'Dave' from the Surry Hills then?

And I thought you'd all forgotten 😀

Seriously for a moment though - we have been in touch and had a good laugh at the whole thing. We've tried to get a ride with each other but we haven't managed to arrange it yet...

Forget?! I've only just regained the ability to breathe from laughing so much 😀

Improved friction is always a bonus.

One of the threads of the year mate. Laughed so much. 🙂

I once paid a man to squeeze my ring a little bit. Stretched it out nicely, was a lot more comfortable after that.

Could you still get your finger in it afterwards?

Turns out to have been a day full of double entendres. Came home from getting my ring resized and the wife had just finished giving our 15 month old his dinner.

Now he's been a little off his food last few days as he's teething really badly and is a little off colour following the MMR jab. So I ask the wife, 'has he eaten his tea this evening' to which she said:

'No, but he did have his plums in custard' 😆

You couldn't make it up....

Did you get your ring buffed and polished at the same time?

I had my ring pinched so hard that it went out of shape.

I was able to find someone to reshape it for me, luckily...

Glad you got it done!
Since I got married, I haven't changed weight, but my finger must have got skinnier, and my ring was loose too.
I put off and put off, until I 'lost' the ring somewhere in Tesco....
Several minutes of panic later - I got a call from the Wife (at the car) saying the ring was on the TOP of the shopping in the boot! Later that week I got it resized.
I thought they were giving me a completely different ring as they'd polished it too!
Now, the wife is going through the same process (except, for 2 rings!).

Must be something in the water down here!

DrP that's a great story! My brother lost his for about three weeks and then rather randomly one of the builders working on their extension found it tampled in the mud about 5 metres away from the house!

I lost my ring once, took me two weeks to find it behind the couch (god knows how it got there!)

I think you should all be very grateful that none of you have needed your rings making larger. For many people a tight ring can cause terrible discomfort and make ring cleaning and inspection very difficult.
