Trump is well known for not paying contractors etc, usually watching them go bust so he never has to.

And Trump is only one of the worlds richest men in his bullshit paradigm (although he is considerably richer than most).

I'm pretty sure neither of them are short of a penny or two.

Unless Cohen has had all of his assets frozen, so no matter how much he has, he can't get to it...

No idea if that's the case though.

Yeah but remember that seized stuff that had to be reviewed.

Cohen’s lawyer Todd Harrison, a partner at McDermott, Will & Emery, said his legal team included 15 lawyers and two data specialists working day and night and on weekends, sleeping on couches in the office to try to complete the review as quickly as possible.

This law stuff burns money.

Seems to be the in thing. Was there not a Scottish politician doing the same thing?

Yes, Alastair Carmichael LibDem - managed to raise £2,500 for his defence for lying.

Oh, you mean Alec Salmond TV presenter? He's at £90,000 now and still rising...

A bit of a brass neck for sure but I'd probably try anything if the alternative was a 175 year prison sentence.

Trump is one of the world's richest people in the same way Hartlepool United are one of the top English football teams.

To be fair there are loads of right wing Trump fanatics who will cough up to help any Trump side kick no matter what they've done, so it's just more free money......

Exactly. There's a load of people who will see a contribution to his fund as "fighting the witch hunt" or defending their version of liberty and freedom. Why would he not take their money? He's not exactly an ethical paragon.
