And I pulled it back in "gibson" style!

We hop over the fence at the back of the house to walk the dog. There's also a dry stone wall, dearest son was fannying about so I slipped put my hand between a couple of top copers and it just twisted it off 😯
I shouted Mrs ws who basically said if I look I'll be sick so you're on your own!

Best start a thread asking wether you should involve a claims management co, especially if steps are involved

See if you dislocate your finger again - dont stick it back in yourself. Quite often there is a related fracture and sticking it back in makes matters worse.

Was it a dangerously uneven wall.

May be worth visiting minor injuries, X-ray/ortho follow up may be needed.

Go and get it looked at professionally. I did mine in September and snapped it back in. Swollen, but seemed OK. Now still swollen and can't straighten it. I'll look forward to the problems when older.

Picture might be pants.

I did 2 of mine 4/5 weeks ago. Put them back in myself, more through shock and panic. Could bend them kind of ok straight away so didn't think they were broken.

About 3 weeks after and now back in the UK they swelled up a bit and movement was getting more and more difficult. Went for xray where doc told me nothing broken just probably bruised and strained ligaments.

Had no option but to get back to work last week. Still can't straighten them. Doc advised ice and elevate where possible. Take ibuprofen tablets and keep them moving.

I've been through enough physio to know how important this is. No pain now no gain later, within reason.

Went for my first ride since it happened today and at the moment they feel ok. Tomorrow might be a different story. God it felt good to be back on two wheels manualling and popping over things.

Get it checked. If its bad, Derby hospital has one of the top hand units in the country. Only taken them 23 months to fail to fix my wife's broken finger...... 🙄

Class!! Good work getting it back in though.

I remember the last time I did something like that, popping the end joint of my little finger during a basketball game. That hurt, as did getting it back in. The damn thing still doesn't straighten fully.

I did one last week, not the finger but the metacarpal in my hand (middle finger) which popped out at the wrist end. Slightly freaked at seeing it sticking out so shoved it and it thwacked back in to place. Got it X-rayed just to check nothing was broken, still getting grip strength back and might even try going back on the bike in the next day or two. Wrist was sprained too - Not fun!
