I've always said I wouldn't have a dog because of leaving it on it's own while I was at work but I read a thread on here a week or so ago and there were a lot of owners who actually had no problems at about doing so and so it got me into thinking.
Well today an opportunity came about today to rescue a dog that was being given up because of the owners unfortunate circumstances and low and behold I am now the very very proud owner a nearly 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is bloody gorgeous and so well behaved it's untrue. She's settled in like she's lived here all her life and I'm so so happy, as are my kids.
dogs are great, well done on taking a rescue dog but we need a pic
😉
I'll post one tomorrow don't you worry 🙂
Excellent.
Congratulations on your new girl she's lovely.

Great pic! enjoy!
Congrats dogs are really good fun.
Ours sometimes does tail wagging in her sleep.
She's just been out chasing bunnies in the sand dunes which is one of her favourite pastimes even in this foul weather. She had more fun than me anyway.
Oh, and forgot to say.... Well done for giving a rescue dog a home.
That costume is great.
you've probably seen this but it's worth another watch
It always makes me very happy to hear about people that take on rescue dogs, especially older dogs who may not otherwise get re-homed.
You now have a best friend for life. Nice one.
I think my two are grateful every day for getting a second chance.
Oh,and she's not really asleep, it's a test....
Nice one! 🙂 I took on a 7 month old collie and its the best thing ever! Most of the time anyway! We had first bike ride this week and it was brilliant having a little compainion 😀
Cheers for the comments guys and sorry for the late reply but I've been otherwise engaged dog walking! I'm so over the moon with her and I'm so happy that she's been recused and your spot on, a true friend for life has been found and both my kids and myself are so very very happy 😀
Well done fella.
this one's up for grabs. wish i could.

Anybody want mine?
Ruptured his cruciate ligament last week.
He's in for an op on friday to break his leg, put a plate in, re-position his leg and screw it back together, then 2-3 weeks crate rest with only lead exercise for 2 months after that.
He's going to be fun to live with.
Best bit is, the bill............
£2500.
Make sure you got insurance kids. 🙄
^^^^^ OUCH! I feel your pain. We could never insure ours (too old and too patch history for one in particular). In some ways we were lucky as the only vets bills of any substance we had were the "final" ones.
Congrats to Hadge though on getting a dog and going down the middle-aged rescue route. Get yourself a headtorch (great for early morning walks) and remember some nappy bags are slightly porous so buy the more expensive ones for picking up!
Well done Hadge. Rescue Dogs are the best. and she's gorgeous. 🙂
I love it when my dogs have dreams. So funny. I'm pretty sure they all involve chasing rabbits or squirrels though.
Good work Hadge, dog looks a good un. Rescue dogs are fab!
