I've been given four chunks of Beech. Any ideas of what to do with them? I'm guessing they will take time to dry out?

Last time I did that I got caught, I claimed it was wood glue and got away with it, still picking the splinters out mind.
(I think they’ll just split as they dry out)

Well, they're short in terms of grain length so nothing really structural. They're Beech so usually not a particularly interesting grain pattern unless spalted which looks really mad.
Decorative maybe, woodturning or just sit a gnome on them by your pond.
Seen a couple of people recently use them as cake stands at weddings. Meh...
