Watching via VPN, but the stream keeps stalling after five minutes or so....

What can I do to fix it?

Doesn't happen with iplayer, C4 nor C5...

I've also been watching via VPN and get similar issues, although not quite as often. It generally resumes after a few seconds. I just assumed their hamsters were struggling due to higher-than-normal demand.

No, not for a while.

trying to watch the Euros on ITV Hub on a Samsung tablet is so bad its not worth it. Which is really annoying, as watching sport of all types via BBC Sport website or iPlayer, or Sky Sports/BT Sports apps is all good. Odd that ITV hub is so bad. (I am not a techy person so have no idea 😉 )

It's so bad. All for an overly compressed SD stream. Even 10 years ago this would be considered bad.

It's the worst app aside from the ALL4 app which is also balls.

Because I couldn’t watch live via the ITV hub on our telly, and only option was to stream via hdmi off my MacBook, I bought a “TV aerial” for £10 from Tesco. Plugged it into our Tv. Can now access live streams for free via some sort of wireless system which has to be the next big thing.

ITV is incredably backward if you don't have a functioning aerial. I caved and brought an indoor aerial to watch the Euros and TDF on ITV 4 (well ads and the occasional bloke riding a bike). I can stream ITV on samsung smart TV in the bedroom, but can't on the big LG TV in living room, nor live stream through xbox app. iplayer streams on any device it seems... No ads either...

So this weekend was my first time to using the ITV Hub - to catchup on the TdF - since I binned Sky... My goodness it was awful. No HD options and the picture - especially when things are a bit busy (like every shot from the moto cameras) was crap. It really was the first time I missed Sky+.

Was worried it was just me but reading the above no. (ITV Hub via Firestick).

Edit: Watching live may be slightly better, but the adverts live and on catchup. Baaaad. Live, you get an advert as you hit start, then the programme goes into a scheduled advert. I guess that's why Sky is so expensive - it's essentially ad free!!!

If you want ad free coverage of the TDF then GCN Is the way to go - £40 a year (*£20 if you get the pres season offer), but you do have a different set of commentators. You may or may not regard this as a bonus.

As per others, I'm trying to watch on a samsung tablet and it's been dropping out today. It was ok when we watched this way Saturday lunchtime
