DJing at a couple of kids discos next month. Need to update the music collection with the latest CapitalFM pap, sorry pop.
I've found buying compilations is frought with the problem of duplicates and wasted money. Itunes doesn't know the same song on 2 different albums is the same song. I have to manually search my library for each song to see how many from a compilation I already have.
Does anyone know of an applescript or some such help, to avoid me buying dupliacte tunes I've already got. Or to tell me how many from a selected album have the same name as songs already in my library.
I can run applescripts. Can't be bothered to work out how to write one though....

You can do 'search for duplicates', but I can't say about anything more sophisticated than that.
Needs to be a search for duplicates BEFORE i buy.
