My daughter is trying to put music on an ipod touch but when she transfers the music to the laptop it just comes up with track1 track 2 etc. instead of the song title. Are there any settings we need to change? Thanks for any help.
Sounds like the track info is wrong, in itunes music libary right click on the track and select get info, then on the info tab check the name and change if needed.
First of all make sure the laprop is connected to the interweb. iTunes needs to access Gracenote cddb to obtain the track info. Tracks that have been imported can get the info just by selecting all those for each album then as ^ select ‘get info', then all should be right with your world. đŸ˜€
you can do it manually, but you'll lose the will to live pretty quickly. Having said that, Gracenote isn't perfect, and does get info wrong sometimes, so manual correction has to be done, but it's pretty rare, maybe three or four albums out of the hundreds in my iTunes library.
