I admit it, it's me. She also objects to the cleat system I set up to get a bit of extra purchase

Saw this and chuckled. I remember when we were young MTBers using camelbaks. And then "coming of age" thought it would be funny / cool to wear one while on the job. Not sure any of us ever did it (cringe if we did) but it would rank along with a custom number plate with "MTB" in there.

Can't she just be happy that he's putting in the effort and duration to need hydration?

Relationships are about compromise - when your partner tells you they don't like something, you stop doing it.

Can someone tell MsJimmy this?

(And good luck to you).

I thought we all made sure our bedframes had space for a water bottle these days?

Surprised he wasn't also tending to a wood fired pizza oven.

In other Guardian "news", I assume the author of this is on here, although his bio says he rides mountain bikes, so maybe not.

Well yes, exactly. Enduro bedframes. The fella in the guardian is well out of date.

Tbh, it's easily done. I make the odd bit of functional/not pretty furniture from time to time and it's easy to see a minor problem and quickly incorporate a solution. I made a window seat for a bay last year. At the time, incoming deliveries that weren't sorted were lying around and our cat didn't have a kitchen snoozing spot. So made space for both under the window seat. We needed a seat. We didn't need the additional storage/cat bed. But I quickly incorporated them because the opportunity was there.

Clearly it's similar for sex bladders for some folk who also casually build.

Draw the line at involving pineapple though.

I wouldn't show too much respect, these gen z hydration disciples need to take 2 litres of water to make it to the corner shop.

My wife doesn't mind me drinking from the water bladder, it's the full face helmet she objects to.

I'm not a violent person but reading this caused me to have an overwhelming urge to track down these people and punch them.

👍🏼🤣

Leanne has banned Wes’s hands-free hydrator because it’s a ‘turnoff’. You decide whose argument holds water

His, I would have thought… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Does it have 'tools' and a 'banana' taped to the headboard for emergencies?

BTW, she is clearly indoor wife because outdoor wife would have her own.

(Now will someone find that indoor & outdoor wife thread and share it, because I can't find it)

it's the full face helmet she objects to.

Mine objects to the helmet full in the face.

Especially when it's how I wake her up at the weekend.

While that is a very amusing thread, it is not the Indoor Wife / Outdoor Wife thread I was thinking of....
