Coming down thin & slow near Livingstone, not long till GTress takes on a different hue..

Quite glad I've cried off ill from tonights sojourn around the same trail 😉

Edit; note absence of front mud-guard, snapped off earlier this ride, being brittle from -8 degs (nowt to do with amateur riding 'skills')

Whooooo

My studded snow tyres have arrived 🙂

How I shall laugh as I finally get to overtake people with their unfashionable non studded tyres

I say!

Not a phrase I ever thought I'd see a lady use, let alone put in writing.

Enjoy the ride. 😀

You do know that studded tyres are only any use on ice or very compacted snow?

There was snow and ice on the last 1/3rd of the red run climb at GT yesterday . . . very cold and spitting rain here just south of Perth also . . . would prefer snow 😉

Two hats - we shall see - they are for the puffer really but are snow tyres with both deep lugs in the rubber and a few metal studs. Not ice tyres

There were some wee flakes of ice coming from the sky here in Edinburgh at about 5, but then the rain came on hard! It'll be snowing on the hills up north though!
Could just see some snow on top of the Moorfoots on my dawn ride in the Pentlands this morning as well as a dusting on Scald Law and East Cairn Hill.
