At 1.4% overall payout you have to wonder what the point is.

Depends what you are investing.
I have two interest-free credit cards maxed out with the funds in premium bonds. I have to be able to get my money back when the interest-free period runs out so that I can pay the cards off, can't guarentee that with shares, I want the certainty. Anything won in the mean time is my profit. I'm expecting to make around £300 over the two years, could be less, could be more. Made £50 so far

Premium bonds are simply not a good investment.

Already been suggested in other responses but my take on it is PBs are a savings tool, not an investment tool. I use Vanguard funds for the money I'm prepared to take a loss on, whilst hoping for bigger than PB gains.

PS second day in a row I'm being queued on their website for 7 minutes, which is completely annoying and negates the functional benefits of an online service - get your website capacity sorted or I'll start phoning your customer care team every time - which makes me much more expensive to service as a customer!

High value winners for July have been announced, look on the nsai website. I didn't win big this month. Hopefully I'll get at least £25 tomorrow morning.

The app is showing me the clip of the woman having an orgasm in the rain so looks like I’ve won something. Will log in to site later

Edit £25

Between March and July the prize fund has gone from £100m to £106m and the number of prizes form 3.5m to 3.7m

Evidence of people moving money out of their crappy cash ISAs and into something with a better return?

How do some people see updates on the app earlier than others? are these the winners?

it appears that for some people the App works on the day of the draw and for others there is a delay of a day or two

it's a mystery

This is quite odd as the website says the draw is on July 2nd so how are winners being announced?

Pah, 2 months with nothing - we're on £25 on 8K over 17 months and counting. I've considered moving the money elsewhere many times, at some point I'm going to do so!

That's what I've done. I need easy access for the next year or so and should get a slightly better return here than in an easy access ISA. If I don't it's not exactly a big loss.

My app says draw due on 2nd July as does web login 🤷‍♂️

Online man says
t take place on 2 July it takes place in the final couple of days fo June so the results can be organized for the start of the month. The results are released on the second working day of the month which would be 2 July.

Nothing again, might pull the money out and chuck it back in as a bigger lump. Although I’ve only got £3k in there. How quickly can you withdraw your money?

I like seeing the large prizes going to people with very little saved in it, including one time someone with only £500 won a £50,000 prize.

Would make his chances for next month zero as wouldn't be eligible at all.

Took me about 8 years of drip feeding to get to a situation where I win every other month at least if not at least 1 each month.

225 for the year to date.

Will be decimated shortly as I have an extension to pay for 🙁

£25 again for me this month.

I get an email from ns&I on the 3rd of the month saying I have a message & need to login to read then another on the 4th telling me I've won, if I login to read the message it's the same as the email from the 4th.

OOh - I did win £25.

Weird because on the 2nd the website showed nothing but then I got an email yesterday.

Might buy myself another multi-tool 🙂

My first draw. I put a decent chunk in and got £50. That's already better than the crappy interest on the account the money was in.

I won 3x£25 after all which showed up when I logged into my account. Turns out I was using the wrong account number in the checker. That was the first month's draw I was eligible for.

Does anyone know when the prizes usually get paid? Mine should go to a nominated NS&I account but it's still not there.

Is that why the little prizes come out on the second working day if the month then? They want the first day to visit for the big one?

1st month for me and looks like a £0 as nothing showing on the site & no email.
They could make it more obvious on their site though as, unless I've missed something, there's nowhere that says draw date & winnings if it's £0.
