2x£25 this month.
Just wondering what the largest amount anyone on here will admit to winning as I don't think I've seen anyone win more than a £100 prize?
but no email yet
I don’t ever see an email until, at least, the 3rd
£25 for me.
I was just setting it up yesterday for payment to my bank account. Not sure if that will start now, or if they'll still post a cheque.
2 x 25 for me, 1 x 25 for the wife.

I got 525 in one month about 8 years ago
Had a couple of 100 quid months.
Mostly it's just 25s
I won £500 in the autumn and £1000 once, but that was well over 10 years ago
Their login page isn't loading. Don't know my holder number so can't just check on the front page.
Yeah it seems to be down but the winner emails have been sent out already
3 x £25 here. Best ever in one month and by far the best interest available now.
if you use the app you know if you won (£25) just after midnight.
oh another £25 for Mrs M. My luck is a disease.
Good news!
From the Guardian:
The Treasury-backed institution, which has 25 million customers, had planned to reduce rates by up to 0.45 percentage points, and to cut the odds of winning a premium bonds prize from 24,500 to 1 to 26,000 to 1.
However, it said the changes, due in May, would not now be implemented to “support savers during the coronavirus pandemic” and that customers should ignore any notifications they receive.
Nothing again.
I am going to take my money and buy solar panels. That way I will win every day.
Cue epic flounce.
3 X £25. Typically see between nowt and a hundred quid each time.
Well lucks catching up.
Nothing this month for me .
Yay 4x£25!
£25
That's new gloves paid for 🙂
Nothing this month 😕
Another 25 squid. Better than a poke in the eye.
Nothing again, nought since Feb. Must mean they are going to give me a big prize soon.
Nothing since December for me.
For the first time in a long time, not a cent. Gutted.
4 x 25 here, it really is erratic I went 3 months with nothing last year
2x£25 here. biggest prize was £150
Anyone else having a problem with the app today?
I think Agent Million must have got lost yesterday trying to find our house. They've not turned up yet.
Where are you guys checking the results? On the app it says 1 day till the draw (3rd) but online it says the draw is the 4th. I assume the posts today are for last month?
the draw was this morning at 12:01 am.
Checked the app this morning for my update.
You using apple or android? Apple here.
Yay - I won £25 again.
Android here and no results yet
Android here. Tried checking on the first, it told me the next draw results were out today and checked this morning.
Android here and 3 x £25. \o/
Or just check on the website, just need you number. It has May's results up now. https://www.nsandi.com/
Nothing for me this month anyway.
4 x £25 this month. I've only ever won £25 before so chuffed with that
2 × £25 for me. No problem with the ns@i app at 3am when I looked to see if I'd won owt.
This thread has reminded me to put some cash into Premium Bonds, keep on forgetting.
£25 !!
The android app worked just after midnight.
Anyone win this month!
nope 😠
Not this time 🙁
Nah, not a dickie bird.
Big fat zero here too
Non. Which is normal for my savings.
A whopping £25.
£25 my first win in a year.
Nowt again ☹️
First draw for me having moved money from a savings account with a dwindling interest rate. £25 win.
2 X 25 here
Party over at trail_rats house!
🎉🎂🎈
£100 !!
Reinvested it - because that's how I rock.
Mrs BUTR 2 X £25. Me 1 X £25 and 1 X £500 😍🍾🤑
Well done BUTR!
I didn’t win - first time in over a year ☹️ I’m not crossing any roads today!!
Mrs Zip £25
None for me this month, but the last six months have gone well so I can't complain
£25 this month. I'm still giddy from my £100 win last month
3 x £25
1x25 here, well done the 500 above. Tax free that's a good return
£25, my first ever win! I'm off to work out how to spend my winnings....
nice one blokeuptheroad. i won 500 once , ITs a nice boost to see it land for sure.
Elshamino - i celebrated by making fruit pie 😀
Santander have pissed us off so closing accounts and buying more bonds.
Stay tuned for a what bike thread!🙏🏻
£25 in each of the last two months, only wins ever, nothing this month
Anyone else getting a queue it page when logging in...looks dodgy
Queue-it page is fine, seen them doing that before. OTOH I’m getting errors when trying to log in
Funnily enough, got the same.
Wouldn't normally be bothered but the fact that I'm queue number 460,000 has me mildly suspicious.
Edit: that's not true..it's it's just a random number. I'm only 2,000 in the queue 😀
yep errors logging in with both accounts onec at front of the queue
Pssssh! Nada ☹️
I get a page that has a 'Prize Checker' section on the bottom left, and doesn't request me to log in. Anyway, just checked and it's 4 x £25 here. And £25 for Mrs LM. Result!
The prize checker phone app works really well. A lot less hassle than the NS&I web page.
Well, I've just received an email from NS&I saying I have a new secure message.
If you don't hear from me again I've won a stack load of cash and I've gone to the pub (I wish).
At 1.4% overall payout you have to wonder what the point is.
Even the tax free angle is totally negated by the existence of ISAs.
That doesn't even cover inflation!
Even putting it all in gilts/bonds and you're ahead. Or more sensibly, go for a 60/40 asset allocation allocation for the conservative investor. As long as you have a 5 year timeline you'll be fairly certain of being way way ahead of premium bonds.
1.4% for zero risk ? always being able to instantly realise your investment at a known value? not being exposed to illiquidity caused by market shift ?
ITs not a all eggs in one basket affair but i keep my "want access now" money in there as there isnt an ISA availible from a bank i deal with that would provide a better rate - nor would it give any chance at all of paying a million - gives you something to look forward to at the start of another month.
Still here, I've won £25.
always being able to instantly realise your investment at a known value? not being exposed to illiquidity caused by market shift ?
I suppose it takes about an hour or two for the bank transfer to come through...
I'm not sure what you mean by the second part. Stocks are always available to buy or sell.
There's not been a rolling 5 year period on record where a 60/40 split hasn't made money.
Premium bonds are simply not a good investment.
Even the dividends on an index tracker pull in more. Even after the recent slashes to them.
@hugo - You're over-thinking this PBs are not a serious investment, they are somewhere to stash money that you need instant access to. If you're lucky then you could win a prize and do significantly better than a 1.4% return, You could also win nothing.
Just think of it as doing the lottery but getting your stake back.

This. With the terrible rates available on easy access cash ISA's and relative volatility of the stock market at the moment, I've just withdrawn cash ISA to put into Premium Bonds.
I'm not maxing out my ISA allowance or Pension anytime soon so if I have ~average luck, I should earn slightly more from PBs than the Cash ISA (easy access).
The only annoying thing is, despite opening the account on the 1st, it's gonna be 2 months to the first draw.
Yes pb s v ftse yield is apples and pears. Pb s are risk free, a bit of fun and you get your money back.
Stocks and shares are long term, nice yields but the capital is not guaranteed so for the first 5 years you may be losing money. Any new money currently going into stocks should perform well, assuming no return of the virus.
I only have £50 in bonds given to me as a child (many many years ago). I just won my first prize of £25 this month. Almost thought it was a fishing scam by email!
