Only just bought some.
(See my previous thread about needing a new van) Have nearly enough money for van, depending on what I can get for old broken one. Have taken out a credit card with no interest on purchases for 27 months to buy it with, funds to pay it off will sit in premium bonds until the interest free bit runs out then I'll sell them and pay it off. Bit of admin hassle but you never know, might be worth it. With interest rates so low on savings nothing to lose really.
Also, it was worryingly easy to get a credit card, I thought it was supposed to be really hard post-credit crunch? Took 20 mins to get £6.5k! Was hoping for 2. (not going to spend it all, can't afford that for a van) but with a day-to-day card, a special one for abroad and an overdraft facility that seems to have crept up every time I check it I could easily borrow a year's salary at 20% with no hope of paying it back, madness. (Note to self, find out if it's possible to block access to the Santa Cruz website from my computer, just in case...)

I'm in the unluckiest 0.2% of holders, based on my holdings and duration, according to MSE's calculator.

will wait for the May draw then see where else i can put the money!

Nowt again.

As a new saver/player it's good to see bonds purchased in January and March 2019 winning high value prizes

Nothing for me again.

Mrs Zip £25.

If my money was in a 123 account I would have got £11 interest.

I’ve had a hundred pounds worth for just under 60 years. Never won a single penny.

If that money had been invested and returned just the rate of inflation, I would now have £2,285.60. But hey, I might win a million next month.

I thought every bond was had the same chance of winning, hence the time you purchased is irrelevant

Is that not correct?

We’ve got the full £50k in and so far have had a tickle every month bar one since January. Usually £75 but the odd £25 as well.

This latest draw though we got £525 - goes nicely toward the holiday.

Everyone I know with £10,000’s in gets a good return. I used to just have a couple of hundred in and never got so much as a fiver.

I worked this out a while ago. At the time you needed about £2600 to win one prize a year.

A couple of £25s today.

I've had 6 £25s in the 4 months since upping my investment from £500 to £40,000

I've just opened an account as a back burner savings on the off chance we need a rainy day fund in the future.
Just chucking £200 a month in as it saves me dibbing into a savings account with online banking and there's the slim chance I might win something which will be auto reinvested.
Two sister in laws drop £25-50 a couple of times a year with a few grand in so always worth a go.

£25 quid, 3rd time in a year from £1,500.

Be nice if they told you amount in email rather then getting me all excited to find I have won another £25 when I was already planning what to do with the tens of thousands.

many years ago I got the email in my apartment in Perth Australia - i managed to lock my self out with the wrong password.

i reset the password and they sent the letter to my house - in the UK , where there was no one.

I had to wait 6 weeks till i came back to uk.

Found out i had won 525 quid in that draw when i got back which was nice.

Nothing for 6 months, then £25 each when we both withdraw a significant amount to pay off a credit card.

Ernie is toying with us...

Nothing since I first put money in back in 2017 and that was only £25 winnings. Putting £100 away in there a month, I'm pretty sure it would be better elsewhere but the allure of winning is too strong...despite not winning bugger all
