Not in for this but I thought I'd pass by with a not of encouragement and quick anecdote.

I lost a ton of weight 5 years ago with some fairly full on 800 cal dieting. In the last year injury and bit of illness has made me slip a bit and put a little bit back on. I've spent September with no alcohol, no sugar and some time restricted eating (10/14) and I've dropped 5lbs. I was no big drinker but I'll probably go back to mild imbibing in October. The no sugar and time restricted eating will stay for the moment I think though - feels good.

Thanks @coconut - I think I need this as I've definitely put weight on since last year! I'll add myself to the sheet and do the weigh in on Friday 🙂

I am in again, saw this and got on the scales and was a little shocked, I have never been that side of 15st before.

This is timely...

For the first time in a year I've stood on some scales. 77kg..... Last year was 69kg.

I guess that is what gorging yourself on all Italy has to offer for the last year does to ones weight.

Weighed in at 87.4kg, slightly down on last week.

The 100 days exercise challenge, being up to Week 6 on C25K and a bit of dietary discipline will hopefully make an 80kg target realistic and attainable.

Some how managed to lose 1kg this week but I think this was due to a pre weigh in dump.
Can't rely on that every week!

Still 87.4, but at least I've not gained anything

I find that my electronic scales are inaccurate on first use. They are stored in an upright position, so the first time I step on the scales they read different than the 2nd and 3rd goes which give the same results.

0.4kg down for my first week, a good start as I normally take a bit of time for the results to start showing.

Despite a not great week with dieting r the 100 days of exercise, I've lost 0.4kg. Unfortunately I'm home alone this weekend and likely to gain it back!

Half a kilo this week (weighed in a day late, scales were dead yesterday morning), not disappointed with that as it's been a stressful week with MrsMomo testing positive for Covid on Monday, I've been solo parenting for the week while she tries to isolate. Unfortunately I started to feel bad yesterday and sure enough I've now also tested positive for the 'rona, I've been absolutely ravenous for the last 24 hours, if this carries on I doubt I'll be down again next week, just aiming to not put back on!

I too have a chesty kind of virus, no Covid tests to hand though. I refuse to let it derail my progress.

Went below 100kgs for the first time in ages. But more importantly I dropped a dress size. Thought I saw an ab.

Late to the party but I'm in too. I've not been as heavy as I am now for 7 years and it's got to come off. Combination of head injury, depression and meds has really had me ballooning. 9kg to lose by Christmas which sounds unrealistic but it's gotta come off.

just inputted my figures, i started oct 1st after returning from holiday.  probs about a stone above my fighting weight.  ive always aimed for 2lbs per week previously as that seems to be the recommended 'safe' amount to try and lose without fad diets.  its going slower than i expected through no lack of effort.

ive been 2 weeks with no alcohol, only been eating a meal at teatime and still really only about 1lb a week lost.  i go in the gym a few times each week too throwing weights about so im just hoping that its 'fat turning to muscle'.  who am i trying to kid!  😀

dont know why progress is so slow tho unless im eating more than i thought for that 1 meal.  maybe id have better results having 3 small meals, dunno, but having one larger meal and being hungry all day is my best/favourite way of limiting calories without feeling 'snacky'.  all or nothing.

see how the next few weeks go.

0.1kg down, I've done a fair bit of walking but otherwise no exercise this week at all, happy to have not put on.

No weigh in for me next Friday as we're on holiday in the Lake District with the kids, will catch up on the Monday.

Go on then. I don't understand spreadsheets especially Google ones so don't know how to drag a formula down, but I'll put my numbers in anyway, from a late start.

Not sure how this weeks going to go, had a ‘good’ weekend of eating shall we say, but back on it now. Managed to resist the free dominos pizza at the office today.

This week looks destined to a right off, too much cake in the house after the weekend and the 100 days of exercise has also crashed and burned.

2 additional (lunchtime) rides, no booze, and although I had pizza last night, I limited myself to eating just my own and not also finishing everyone else's.

Not expecting to have lost much in a week but hopefully at least I am turning the ship around …

same as last week here, frustrating as im skipping 2 meals per day, not gorging on my tea, and no alcohol!

i have the odd 'ramekin of crisps' or half biscuit, but really, most days ive just been having 3 poached eggs on 2 slices of toast, then a bit of greek yoghurt with honey.  oh and an unflavoured protein shake if ive just come out of the gym.

like i say, frustrating, and i fear that the days when i will go out for pizza or have a few beers, itll just pile the weight on.  ok im 4 or 5 lbs lighter than 1st october, but thats not much success for 3 weeks of 'being good'.

No change this week as I was ill so sat at home eating crap - but at least no increase.  Overall - I effectively started two weeks late as I was away on holiday and put on a kilo.  Excuses aside I do feel like I am moving the right direction

Tough luck @olddog . I've been sat at home dog rough so done no exercise, was expecting the worst but seems to have worked to my benefit and I've dropped nearly 2kgs this week.

Ahead of my week 4 target, that's not to gloat as I was way too heavy but it's getting there. Been caning the Zwift until this week which has been good for getting exercise levels up but does mean I tend to "fuel" a bit more. FTP as watts has been increasing reasonably steadily too which is nice.

I've actually lost weight this week, so down to 86.8, which is still 2kg above the Week 5 target weight.

Hoping I'm successful getting an entry to Etape Loch Ness next week to give me something to focus diet and training on over the winter.

Scales say I’ve lost some, but I’m dubious about  their reliability. They’re on a hard tiled floor but sometimes if I position them differently they report differently.

Weigh yourself 3 times on the same spot and take the lowest number as your true weight.

0.1 up but as I've been ill for a week and that's within margin of scales error, I am happy. Hope to be back in negative gains next week tho.

A 0.2kg drop so essentially staying still.  I'll take that as it's been a stressful week and some mild snacking may have occured.

0.3kg down, I was 1kg down earlier in the week, but a work trip (with a couple of big meals, no booze still though) Wednesday to Thursday.

I'd definitely recommend the Dancing Man Brewery to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Southampton though!

I'm not trying too hard with any alterations to my food intake or exercise at the moment.

I need to do more activity and slightly alter what I eat. I do ok with the food considering the shifts I work and that is probably one reason I'm not gaining weight. I've eaten more carrots in the past 6+ months as I grate them on to almost every wrap or salad I make and that is the majority of my lunches.

Currently watching weight lifting videos with the intention of trying to build in a short routine to my otherwise disorganised days.

Weight stayed the same. Damaged the meniscus in my knee so no exercise till I got instructions from the physio on Friday. Excessive amount of comfort snacking cos reasons.

This week has seen -1kg on the scales, a 101 Relative Effort score on Strava, down a notch on the trouser belt, and signed up for Trail Break's South Downs ride next July.

All because of Chub Club, and the sun is shining so I am going out for a ride before Berty arrives  🙂
