Grey is certainly in vogue round my neck of the woods, window frames , fascia’s, doors, fence panels, sheds, cars, bikes and several public houses have gone down the same route!
There’s a local company that have set up respraying window frames this colour as well and they are doing a roaring trade. Is it the same where you are?

A few examples of people who've painted the whole of their house exterior, including the roof tiles. Thats an expensive folly to regret at leisure

Had some carpets fitted a couple of days ago and as the guys pulled it out of the van they said 'thank **** its not grey' 😉

Grey is old hat, Chartwell Green is where it's at now.
I know this for a fact cos the missus had all ours done 😁
In fairness it does look pretty good.

Grey is old hat

Grey jogging bottoms are also still popular in Central Croydon.

Although a very pale grey so that the random stains on them can still be seen.

I’ve heard John Major is thinking of making a comeback on the strength of it all.

There's loads of cars out there that look like they forgot to put the top coat on and they left the factory with just primer.

Could be worse, could be a return to the 70s with brown and puke yellow, or 80s avocado.

A few around here as well.
The commute sometime goes through a posh estate and some on there really stick out

Reminds me when we repainted all the machine tools as an apprentice.

Well I never knew there was a posh bit of Mansfield.

I noticed the grey thing creeping in near my parents in Shrewsbury - lots of people getting that 'dormer extension with wood cladding and grey window frames' thing.

Then I came home and within a couple of months, saw one in my area of East Bristol!

Luckily no grey pubs yet, either here or near my folks...

I actually love that. I particularly dislike metallic paint - most of all metallic grey.

We had a rear extension 5 year ago in anthracite grey. I think it looks decent. But then I often think that I live in the land of ugly extensions so not much competition.

Oh the grey thing has been going strong around here for years. Anthracite grey, even the lawns and family pets getting painted with it.

To be fair, it can look great on exterior trim on some houses, but like a lot of things, the internet causes trends to spread like wildfire and it becomes common and over the top.

There’s a huge mock tudor pub near me that got the grey treatment a few years ago. Everything - grey. Looked bloody awful then, now it’s all peeling off cos of the shoddy job.

This shelving I done looks pretty dope in grey I thought.

Just done some cabinets in black, so maybe things are on the move. 😊

Greys my bread and butter at work for a long time TBH, usually 00a01 (or very close to it) on interiors and ral7016 on exteriors. I call it the new Magnolia

Grey anthracite windows check
Brilliant white internal walls check
Oak internal doors check.

I like the grey and white, it may date badly but oh well. Can always get the aluminium windows painted potentially if it really goes out of fashion 😁

Yes the grey plague has been around for quite a few years.
As a curtain maker I'm looking forward to another colour coming into fashion. Customers are even having grey decor for their children's bedrooms.

Yep, grey is just as popular round here. Regular cause of work frustration and sotto voce naughty language because it makes seeing house numbers (where folks have the wit to have one "visible" at all, that is 🤬) even more fun on a pishing wet evening.

Instantly banned when I rule the world 🤣

Think I did a feature wall in it circa 2016, really board of it now, same around my way, Garage doors, sides of houses, walls... it can look alright but the place is just saturated in it now.

I'm doing up a house at the moment and monotone/millennial mid-century is my default but I'm really trying to move on a bit.

I've been doing up the front room, and Grey has been the order of the day with a grey carpet and curtains, as well as a single recliner. Feature wall in blue grey.

I was allowed to have some input, and went for a dark blue sofa. Can't have too much grey, its not a battleship im wanting to live in.

Grazings

Went for a cool grey interior throughout, white ceilings with birch faced ply on cupboard doors - minimal furniture with 2 big sofas and a coffee table. Even the TV is hidden away when not in use. Didn’t want anything to distract from the views, although we do have some reds and oranges scattered around the house. We have a dark blue leather sofa in the kitchen diner.

Grazings

Exterior is black cladding with black metal roof and anthracite door and window frames - colour is great as it only needs small amount of sun to heat up the house.

I'm skipping it entirely when I decorate my new place.

I've been reliably informed that sage green is the new grey.

So I suppose I'll skip that as well and stick with my trusty brown.

I prefer grey - in the right light it blends with the windows and makes the house look simpler/cleaner. Additionally, it it does look cleaner as the dirt doesn't show. Mine are white :-/

We’ve just had our dormers done and yes they’re now grey.
It’s a million times better than the rotten white windows and green tiles that were there before.

They blend much better with the roof and look a lot less ugly than before.

I might get the downstairs windows & front door grey too 😁

I've finally today finished replacing 64 square metres of shed roof in 'anthracite grey' using box profile sheets. It's only visible from space but at least it matches the slates on the house. White UPVC windows and doors, pebbledash walls that Mre A wants painted. I've said 'No' repeatedly unless she is going to do it. Which I'm confident that she isn't. Pebbledash is ghastly but painted pebledash a few years along the line will be absolutely hideous.

I like grey window frames. Don't GAS if other don't. I can't stand loads of the same old shit white plastic that has blighted the world for the last god knows how many years. Green, brown, black, cream anything is better than a world of white plastic.

I like neutral colours on walls with other stuff providing the colour.

Every fence and shed around me is the exact same grey. I suspect that someone at one side of town bought a big tin and then passed the leftovers to their neighbours who got quarter done then bought another big tin and then passed it to their neighbours, forever. So I painted my shed a sort of fetching chicken korma/baby vomit colour and I have to admit, grey is nice.

Go to the Cotswolds.
It's actually the law for your doors and windows to be this colour green.

Grey hasn't arrived yet.

I did think about painting the rendered bit of the front of my house in animal print. Torn between Fresian cow, zebra and tiger.

Having spent an inordinately long amount of time looking at houses on Rightmove there were that many grey houses that I did occasionally think the photos had been taken in black and white. The only clue was the bright green artificial grass next to the grey fence and grey decking.

The wife wanted a grey feature wall in the dining room when we moved in, and grey bathrooms units This was 8 years ago before all this horrific mess started. Luckily for us it's trendy now so we don't need to redecorate before selling.

Edit: just remembered this thing that has been thrown up locally. It looks worse in person. https://www.google.com/maps/ @54.9397365,-1.3669687,3a,58.2y,285.14h,95.95t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sQh3xmSWZPSGQ-ncmiT6slQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

Painted loads of rooms grey in past year for people. I just find it a depressing colour as we head into winter. Grey outside and grey inside!

A few years ago a house in our village was having new windows fitted and they were white but the trims that hold the glass units in were blue and they looked fantastic! The next week when I went past they were all white, the blue had been a protective film that they removed.

Nothing wrong with greys you just need to add colour in other ways (furnishing/flooring/art etc)

I dislike 'greige' when everything is that colour tone, just looks like a posh hotel room.
better than all white or magnolia though.

Grey was one of two color choices we had when our house was built. All the interior walls and the ceilings are grey. I hope to paint them another color soon.
