I'm going to the Dolomites with some mates in September, and we're looking for a place for a night out on the last Saturday before we go home. Has anybody been to Bolzano? Is it any good for a few beers, or would we better off staying in Val Gardena (where we'll be for 3 days of walking prior to that)...? No need for a club or anything, but a few late bars etc would be good, preferably with some decent ie indie/rock music. Ta.
I've been on a weekend trip from Munich when I used to live there. It was many years ago but I recall it as being a nice town. Was there with the wife and kid (only had 1 in those days) so no idea what it's like for a night out.
Give this guy a tweet Manuel Quinziato he's the pro road pelotons music expert, intellectual and seemingly all round nice guy. Happens to be from Bolzano.
He also takes out famous musicians for training rides in the close season too.
