I need help.
I've got a new job (yay!) but when I started here I set up a new shared outlook calendar that the team uses for all of the holidays/whereabouts. When I leave, my profile will be deleted pretty much immediately, is there a way to transfer this folder to another user on the network?
Cheers
Why do you care? Flag it up with IT and walk away. (-:
Depending on a bunch of stuff it's probably not tied to your profile, you just have the most rights. You can add "owner" rights to the new owner in the calendar's Properties.
I've tried that, but its one of them things I won't know if it's worked until after I've gone. Should that do the Job? I'm at part of quite a bit company so all of my IT access will be annihilated seconds after I hand over my pass.
I don't care in the short term, but insurance is a very incestuous industry, especially in Birmingham. There's a 99.9% chance that I'll end up working with at least one of these people again in less than 10 years. I'm playing the long game innit. (While simultaneously dossing on the internet on my notice period)
Any sensible IT department will disable a leaver's account for a period of time rather than outright delete it (because "oops, I change my mind, I'm staying after all" is an absolute ballache otherwise) and in any case a deleted AD account doesn't truly delete for a period of time (either three or six months I think, I can't remember exactly offhand) so they should be able to recover it.
Joking aside, I really wouldn't worry about it. If it's a big company then IT will deal with stuff like this on a daily basis.
