Have jusy found a job to apply for - deadline is tomorrow. There's only a PDF application form on their website which I can't edit - is there any way I can change it to a word doc or similar to complete it?
Am working on a Mac if that makes any difference
Some pdfs are editable so you can type in the boxes. If you can't it may not be editable, or it may be a Mac thing.
It's faffy but the only way I know to deal with this is to download the form, print it, complete it and scan the complete document. Is there an email address for submission, or are they actually expecting hard copy applications through the post?
Hopefully there will be someone along in a minute who knows more about this stuff than I do
Office2013 can read in pdfs and convert them if you have that?
If you have a mac then open the pdf in "preview" rather than Adobe Reader and if you hit [cmd]+[shift]+[A] you will get an annotations tool bar. (option also avail through a menu) and then you can "draw" text boxes on top. You can even add a signature.
Just in case - I recommend you "print" the completed form back to pdf rather than just save it as if the other person is using obscure software this seems to work better.
Print it off. Write in ball point pen. Scan. Email back.
