Decided instead of getting pished on a Friday, I'd get a bit creative and make a pizza from scratch.

- Made the base, lots of mess, flour etc, set aside to rise.

- Chopped up peppers, onions etc, mixed some chopped tomatoes, puree, herbs, cooked some chicken

- Squeezed in quick phone call to Pop whilst cleaning up

- Rolled out dough; build everthing up - looking good, oven up to temperature, ready to go....

..why has the oven turned off?

Checked switches, fuses etc, flicked lots of things around - eventually oven back to life.

Yay.

Pizza in oven for 20 mins, open door.....nothing, fan whirring away, but no heat.

🙁

So, a soggy cold pizza, uncooked and a borked oven.

Vodka time.

bugger. I decided to order a curry and open a bottle of wine.

My disappointment comes in the shape of a 1hr delivery estimate.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

That's my rescue plan; grilling now - base is potentially an issue as it's a bit big for my largest pan, but I'll cook what I can - I'd chiminea the base but not got any wood (I know, not very STW)

Curry's always take bloody ages, dominoes deliver in about five minutes round my way. I'm on chicken kebab, fries and jalapeno poppers tonight though, just waiting for the knock on the door..........

I've found wood.

Fire currently going on the 'chim' - I doubt this will end well but I do like a fire.
