Just realised, if they'd printed it the right way up, the rider would be on the back of the mag 😆

I thought it was a rider riding down the side a raging burn!

Clever....I think.

They’ve flipped the pic as the rotors are on what would normally be the drive side. It could have been the right way round on the front if the sky was cloned a bit to drop the rider away from the masthead 😉

So they've reversed it and flipped it! Odd 😛

I prefer it as presented rather than right way up.

Don't forget that if the magazine is no longer subject to the tyranny of newsstand distribution the masthead can go anywhere. Top, bottom, left or right.

I want going to mention this, but to confuse matters even more my cover was put on backwards!
Do upside down photo is the right way up, but on the back cover.
Really confused me 😆

Huh?

if the magazine isn’t sold in newsagents then the conventions of cover design can go out Of the window. You don’t need a logo at the top in case they tier them behind each other and you don’t need some kind of tag on the left in case they are are overlapped on flat shelves. The cover is no longer a selling device in a newsagents so you get quite creative. The inverted cover image is fun. Obviously it was d3signed after seeing the shots rather than planned but I think it is effective.

^^ Some good points there I hadn't thought of.

I'm very much of the WHSmith generation but it's totally different these days.
