Walk into Newport each morning to use the facilities.
I drove down, but I know someone on the mainland, parked my car near their house so they could keep an eye on it, then got a taxi to the hovercraft. Other than that, there’s buses to the festival site, but a fair amount of walking involved. There’s really only the one main stage, but a number of smaller tents. I got down to the main stage at lunchtime every day and stayed by the crowd barrier all day, no point going anywhere else, all the best acts are on the main stage. The three headliners when I was there were The Prodigy, Blur and Fleetwood Mac, with loads of others like James, Counting Crows, and acts I wouldn’t normally bother with, but who I was glad I saw. I hadn’t realised it was being shown on tv, then a friend texted me to say she’d seen me down at the front!
That was a few years ago, 2015, so they might have changed it around a bit since. Just looking at the screenshot I took of the map, and my location where I pitched my tent was about as far from the stage as I could get; but I was first there, right on the edge, so easy to find my tent and it was fairly quiet.
