I've decided to cut biscuits and cake out of my diet because I was eating stupid amounts of them.
So......to get round it I bought a block of marzipan today and have been cutting chunks and eating it out of the packet.
Am I technically a genius or should I be ashamed?

Urm.. Besides from being minging, is marzipan not pretty much pure sugar? 😀

Depends. Are you a racing snake who burns carries as fast as you can cram them in?

Well it's almonds and sugar. Good quality marzipan is extremely tasty stuff.

I am rather partial to a stuffed date. The advantage of that method of marzipan consumption is that massive intake is, ahem, balanced out.

I'm not really fat at all but I think I would have have become a bit portly if I'd carried on eating cake for breakfast and a packet of biscuits for a mid morning snack.
For some reason I just had a craving for marzipan.
It's the (junk) food of Gods!

If he eats a block of marzipan every day he'll look like he is

Gross. Marzipan is gross.

Try nuts, KP salt and vinegar large nuts.

You live in the 1980’s and I claim my £1.20

Sorry but I beat you to this snacking invention some years ago.

Love the stuff but I've some bad news/interesting trivia.

It contains a small amount of cyanide 😯

I believe you have to eat about 35kg in one go to poison yourself though. So long as you keep below this you'll be fine.

Oooh those marzipan fruits look good!
I think if I ate 35kg in one sitting it wouldn't be the cyanide that would kill me.
Might have to find some other 'alternative snacks' to eat as well?
I like jelly out of the packet.

I do this at times, but it’s far too easy to eat half a block or more in one sitting - you can feel yourself grow as you eat it 🙂

It's the (junk) food of Gods!

Well if it was/is good enough for Graeme Obree.

So you used to eat these:

But now you eat this instead.

So am I. Not sure what that's got to do with food though.

Try Lebuchken. Dark chocolate ones from Aldi to be precise. Honestly they're not biscuits or cake so you'll be fine.

Gross, if you want to eat that much sugar, get some good quality fudge.

Have a bag of pestachio nuts for dessert.

I once ate half a pack of marzipan just before going to bed on a mountain marathon event. It is one of my few regrets in life.

Calories are calories. 1000 cals of cake and biscuits is the same as 1000 cals of marzipan.

I would guess there is twice as many calories per 100g in marzipan than there is in generic cake (without marzipan).

Banana malt loaf or just cut out the cake and stick with biscuits.

Why not meet in the middle and only have jaffa cakes?

I was a biscuit monster. Now - hummus and carrots, then a dark chocolate (1 x square of J D Gross Orange and Almond) chaser.

It seems to be working. Lidl for the win.
