I can't be faffed to shop around, I'm tired. If this is in right ballpark, then that'll save me headaches.
Installation - £320
Install hearth (I supply) - £80
Materials (not sure what they they are, a bit of cement to level hearth area?!) - £50
Liner - £300
Flue comps - £200
It's for multifuel, so assume liner is the posher stuff.
Ta
Very good price indeed IMO.
Sounds quite low! Is that for supply and fit of liner/cowl etc, or just fit?
It's everything excluding stove. Eg, it's £1940 with an Esse 100 s/e. (again, I supply hearth though, they fit).
Very good price then, as long as the liner is the right grade.
Who's signing it off for regs, or is it HETAS? (Seems way too low for HETAS).
Sounds low, this just cost 3k, old fireplace out 1k Nordpeis Bergen in, slate hearth.

Hetas. He did say it was quiet at this time of year!
that's the cheapest HETAS quote I have heard!
They normally charge like wounded buffalo.
Here's a quote for installation, in Leeds, last year. We supplied the stove. It was a 4.5kww inset, with existing hearth and surround.
For the dining room:- parts £600
Liner
Adaptor
Cowl
Adaptation to opening (slightly widen from 340mm- 380mm)
Sealants i.e. silicone/ fire cement
Co alarm
Sand/cement (to back fill)
HETAS certification
labour £250
1 HETAS engineer
1labourer
Right, that'll do me thanks. Nice to have a straightforward, good quote I can just accept! (That slate hearth does look quite tasty though)
Tasty indeed, we love it, i run a gardening company so loads of free wood.
Bring on winter 🙂
I paid £1150 for the installation in January this year, included all materials plus a days labour for two to install. It included installing a stove as well as the hetas certification. I had quite a long chimney, think it was 11m and they installed the 906 multifuel liner.
£1100 cash incl stove, only a 4.5kw tho and i had an hearth already. What do I win?
