I've never understood how she got to be "famous" but maybe I messed the bit where she was creative and original
On the one hand, she was one of the first women to break through the male dominated world of stand-up. Which is to be applauded.
On the other, she may indirectly be responsible for Miranda. Which is not.
I saw Jo Brand live in a small club in Liverpool. She was very good.
I wanted to take a small club to Jo Brand in Liverpool. I was prevented.
I'll have you know, Superdry were the only place in Manchester I could find a charcoal grey wool crew neck sweater.
This is either because no one else would dare stock such a revolutionary, groundbreaking item, or because I have terrible fashion sense.
My initial ones would be: -
- Rapha
- Chrysler
- HP as in sauce or beans
- K-Swiss shoes
- Timberland shoes
- [edited] Oh yes, Superdry!
If only TJ were here and we could have ;
"All of them"
Jones,
Nicolai,
All other niche brands.
Speicalized does everything so well why bother with anything else?
Tracy Emin
Ugly prostitute, made a mint from a load of crap that they call art.

You know which one it is but wanted us to think you weren't sure!

The 'z' bothers me.

It's the rest of the spelling that bothers me
Any brand or slogan where a 'z' repaces an 's' or or a 'k' replaces a 'c'. Or that uses textspeak; eg; Klaimz4U
Ok they're a bit common but there is a reason for that.
Their bikes do exactly what they should, their warranty department are outstanding, what else do you need in a bike company?

An Italian race pedigree, obviously
Paint that isn't either red or black
A brand that isn't American and isn't obsessed with Euro names like Allez, Roubaix and Dolce
The absence of 'S-Works' on my fancy niche racer
Nothing against Spesh, but other brands are available
what else do you need in a bike company?
How about:
A non proprietary shock mounting system so I can replace the piece of junk the stock bikes come with.
A regular headset standard rather than this crappy Campag internal thing.
A long travel 26" wheel trail bike.
VW - boring pensioner mobiles
Mercedes - boring pensioner with a bit more disposable income mobiles
Dare2B
Oh, this lot too. Ethical my backside. Blatant liers "100g of reformed Ham - was £3.99, now half price" etc.
It's laughable, but also quite annoying that some folk must fall for it - some of their claimed usual selling prices must be borderline illegal.
So what are you co-op? Huh? You're just a sodding Londis living of your heritage and screwing the local oldies that can't get about and think you're still decent retailer.

Are you an employee of MBR magazine ? 🙂
Give me a bad point against them.
Isn't the 'z' enough, dammit?
Their bikes do exactly what they should, their warranty department are outstanding,
So they don't always do exactly what they should then, unless breaking is something to be expected? 😉
give me a bad point against them
As previously stated - proprietary shock mount arrangement that means you can't just replace the stock unit. Those drop in head set bearings and the fact they no longer do a long travel 26" wheel bike (i could be wrong about that last point).
A regular headset standard rather than this crappy Campag internal thing.
Don't get the hate, what's wrong with campag internal?
But agree with the critical of Spesh, they're not all things to all cyclists, it's good to have other options

It doesn't feel robust enough as a solution for mountain bikes. Dropping bearings loose into a frame feels like they would be, well, loose, which is not going to be a good thing.
I read that this can cause problem (from a brand I trust :D) but I'm happy to have my mind changed.

Come on, who wouldn't want to do all their shopping at Tesco?
Pretty much all casual clothing brands who plaster massive logos over all their stuff then triple the price (eg Superdry).
Seat, VW and Skoda, why not just badge everything Audi and pass the savings in simplifying 4 distinct production lines of the sames cars to the customers?
Rapha.....
And specialized still do 150mm stumpy evo. And the headset in mines fine after a year and a half of neglect.
Specialized have a habit of trying to bully/sue small companies out of existance so they can steal their ideas
Up until this story broke I was a huge Spesh fanboi. Haven't bought anything from them since.

Meanwhile back in the real world , it's no different to locating cartridge bearings ( as most campag systems are) in a headset cup.
Low stack height and no pressing headset cups into a frame ( no biggie, but nice not to have to do)
