He should be, but IIRC he does suffer intermittent IT issues.

I'll mail him this thread see if he gets it.

🙂

Ive been with him up in The Lakes since Saturday (I came back Tuesday) mountain biking. He has been showing his German friends round and is due back home this saturday.

He is in Windermere and the interent is very patchy to say the least.

I'll text him to let him know. By the way the new Frogeye will be worth the wait

The cooking went great helped by the glorious weather we had a whole week of breakfast and evening meals round the table outside and the BBQ got a good workout .

Lowey We had some cracking rides but Helvellyn was bloody tough especialy after the ulswater track to get to it
the Lake districk traols are in good shape at the moment nice and dry everywhere.
and we wondered where all the tourists were on tuesday afternoon as got a great run down Loughrigg terrace with no walkers in sight .

I am totally destroyed this morning bit need to drag the last reserves for Nan Bield and gatesgarth loop as the last ride .

Funnily enough I emailed trout about a month ago and got no reply - I assumed you'd given up with the lights (I need to get an L&M Arc light converted to LED as a helmet light). Troutie if you are still in business perhaps you would email me with some details ?

Lowey, thanks for reminding me about Helvellyn! 😥 To be honest glad we did it as one box ticked that I dont need to go back to as we completed it (just) lol

There was a couple of students who for the summer hols treck up there everyday and sell cups of tea & coffee on the top, On the first day one of them had to tek down for more milk :lol

Tell you what though, The Lakes is an amazing place for exploring on a bike and descents with views second to none 8)

quick question while you light bods are about. i'm building a 3 xpg with cute narrow optic. the optic's legs have lips on them, but the legs are long such that they bottom of them hit the thing i'm mounting the pcb to, meaning that the optics themselves stand off the LEDs by a couple of mm. better to leave them as they are, or take the leg length down so that the lip butts up to the pcb, bringing the optic closer to the LED, or somewhere in between? i could just offer it up when it's powered but i'd be interested to hear opinions from those who've been down this path before me.
cheers!
😀

Del
pop the optic on the led board and sand down the excess legs
it should sit on the shoulders for best led focus.

£50 for a Chinese Lumicycle 3 x XPG R5 bike lamp .

http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=11442

Ok so the battery pack wont get you round SITS , but in terms of bang per buck abit better than Magic Shine .
Also found a 3x P7 and 4 x P7 by KFled . Mega outputs let down by voltage , but again £££ per Lumen is high. I would imagine thermal management will be an issue with them tho.
