I am looking to walk, possibly drive up there at the weekend.
I know it is usually closed at the weekend until end of Oct - so was expecting it to be open.
However I also found this suggesting it is shut

There were quite a few cars going up and down it on Saturday and the gate across the road at Fairholmes was open when we rode through
Most of Lockerbrook is in a right mess with the heavy machinery up there and they have stuck a gate in just after the last left hander
