I heard it was closed yesterday due to the weather and was thinking of going in the next couple of hours.

??? How can they close the forest? Or do you meant the car park? If the latter, carry on down to the pub and park there. Ride up the road to the trail and ride, go back to the pub have beer and chips to celebrate!!!
