Or is the problem elsewhere? Don't usually watch 5 but OH found something she wanted to watch and it is utterly painful trying to get through it. Every few minutes it will freeze and go back to the 5 home screen. I'm losing the will with it!
Everything else we watch works absolutely fine.
Worked fine for us when we used it for the first time last week, apart from a few seconds when the picture blurred after returning from ads. Nothing like as serious as what you describe.Â
Is it an older firestick? In my experience, firesticks can be a little underpowered (RAM, processor) for what's required, and if the My5 app isn't well-programmed, it could be at the limit of what your firestick can do.Â
Do you have a bunch of other apps on the firestick? Anything you don't need or can delete?
Yes, the My5 APP is crap. ITVX isn't much better. Freezes and drops out on a regular basis.
The only reason iPlayer looks good is that it's the least worst.

Not sure really two or three yeasr I guess. Not that much on it as we don't watch much telly in general.
Works ok on our firestick but not on our old NOW box thing.
