I bought a Lifeproof Fre case off eBay for my iPhone 6.

Alarm bells are ringing. The materials the case is made out of feel pretty low quality.

Any way of determining if its real or not?

Seal it up and run it through a washing machine cycle. If it's still dry inside is probably ok?

If it is waterproof who cares if it's a fake. Try it out in the sink without the phone and see if it's water tight.

How much did you pay?

Seals in mine were yellow not green,

Does it leak?
Can anyone hear you?

It was £49.99. A bit cheaper than high street stores, but not ludercusly cheap.

The seal just lifts out. The plastic feels pretty flimsy. The bit on the home button is more like clingfilm, It's already stretched.

It did pass the submerge in the sink test. I'll stick it in the washing machine now.

Email lifeproof with the serial numbers. Top and bottom cases should each have one.

I got one that was fake, cost me £18 off eBay. Whatever you do don't submerge it underwater. It worked fine and protected well enough from rain and being splashed, but the plastic windows started to peel away so obviously the glue was not that good.

All looks like mine from Amazon (direct, not marketplace).

The home button cover is thin so that TouchID has a hope of working. The plastic does feel a bit poor, it scratches with a fingernail. All works fine though. Do the recommended waterproofing test as it says to reassure yourself.
