I stopped it shortly after a start to put in a dish I'd missed.

Water is pooling in the bottom, is this normal? The drain isnt blocked that I can see, and its been working fine. I guess I should just run it and see.

Yes, normal - it goes through the screen and then recirculated.

First have you tried to reset the dishwasher.

Another typical problem with Dishwashers is the Float chamber.
(Found inside to the left or right of the machine) Normally gets stuck.

Pull-out the machine and rock it side to side. This normally frees it.
Now try through cycle if it don't start rock it again, if fails then
you will need engineer.

I found rocking MrsBouy side to side had all the effect of not getting any washing up done for days on end. Rebooting her only makes her whine a bit more with little output 😆
